WoW -- an Enduring Nobility thread

Okay, so I figured it might be a good idea to start a thread for general EN stuff.

So for starters, remember that Garos can transmute Mithril -> Truesilver and can make Arcanite. Also, if you need potions, just shout.

Next, I'm thinking we might try another Maraudon run this weekend, and maybe a run through the Deadmines for Leaves, Takkor, Kami, and/or Tipher. Leaves is healer support, so can probably go a couple levels lower than normal.

I assume Enduring Nobility is the ENWorld WoW guild? I'm interested in playing WoW, but as I stated in the "Sell me on WoW" thread, only if I can find a group. Is anyone in the guild interested in playing low level, casually (maybe 3-5 hours a night, sometimes more on weekends)?

It's hard to promise anything, especially as I can't speak for everyone. I've got a few low-level characters that could hang out. However, there are likely going to be times that people are going to be tied up with other characters and you have to do stuff alone. If we're taking the top-level guild characters through Uldaman or Maraudon or the like, it's hard to just dump out of the group. But we've got a bunch of people now scattered through various levels.

I know that's pretty non-committal and probably nothing like a promise that you'd want. I'm pretty confident in saying that if you're soloing along and you need someone to help you out with something that 90% of the time, someone can drop by for a little support. We can also help with advice, decent gear (not at every level increase, of course, but when you need it definitely), moral support, and we seem to be making a specialty out of Deadmines runs. (Also, I can't count how many Blackfathom Deeps runs I've made.)

I do have one warning. When Garos was 20-something level, one of the boarder's character was a low level priest needing help in the NE basic lands. At some point, I think the DMs figured out I was clearing the way to Ursal for him and got nailed with a huge number of bad guys. It felt like the DMs were watching and didn't want that type of interference. *shrug*

Primarily I just don't want to be completely *stuck* at level 12 or 14 or whatever, simply because I don't have a huge group ready all the time. I think they must have changed things significantly, since from what you said in the other thread, it's actually feasible to solo now. Occaisional help would be cool. If I can find a cheap copy I'll probably play.

If it means anything raloc, I will be joining this server/guild. I am new to wow and don't have a true server yet, I guess the enworld guild kind of set that to feathermoon. In any case, I'll be playing primarily a low level character.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a race/class combo? The other servers I have played the only class I have tried is a warrior, and I've played a NE. I might go with a dwarven something, but I'm not sure.

Well, in that case I'll see about getting a copy :) I'd prefer playing a human, but that's fine since I know my way around a fair amount (I could travel to dwarf or elf home towns).

My recommendation is to pick a class and then look at the races. Warriors are considered pretty difficult to play, especially in PvP environs because a lot of their skills are directed to aggro management, which doesn't control player actions. Warriors are considered essential to the endgame, however, and are really useful in groups to keep attention away from healers and damage dealers. Don't expect warriors to put out damage like a rogue or mage or hunter.

Just make sure when you come on you shout to Eloi, Venatrix, Vaslov or Garos. Any of us can get you started.

Did they fix Warlocks? I'm sure they did, but I'd like to make sure before I start one. When I played, they didn't even have all of their spells.

(Hehe, regards the male characters looking like they could strangle a bull, I usually play female characters, since I'd incredibly picky about how my character looks).
