In Dark Sun cosmology, there is mainly just The Gray (or the Shadow). One potential idea is that, if you want to make Tithian a real bad guy, you can have him use what he's learned from Sacha and Wyan, draining the two of them of their spirits to fuel his transformation into a Sorcerer King. Another idea is to have Wyan attempt to use the spirits trapped in The Gray to create a ritual that would allow him to either rejoin his old body (thereby becoming something like a Lich) or to use his spirit to inhabit a new one. Then, he would be free to continue the Cleansing Wars. Or, you could accept the fact that Wyan is actually dead. Since he was one of the few of the Champions who was loyal to Rajaat, it could easily be assumed that he was of the LE alignment (to use 3E alignment). That would possibly place him in the Nine Hells or Carceri, whichever you prefer. Even better, he may not have gone to his rest and wanders Athas as a restless shade. My point is that the pre 4e canon doesn't necessarily apply to Dark Sun 4e.</blockquote>
