I really enjoyed X2, I left that movie commenting on how pleased I was with it. I've been collecting X-Men comics since the end of the original incarnation of X-Factor (talk about your bad timing), and thought they did a very good job of communicating the essence of Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean, Kurt, and Wolvie. The only character who I really don't like is Storm, but that's besides the point. In two short marketable movies they established almost all of the important dynamics that make these characters who they are and as such I loved the movie. Cyclops is who he is because of the pain he has endured. I hated when then they chose someone that much younger than Jean originally, but in the scene in the Oval Office he really nailed the part. The Matrix was a good movie. The rave drug on and on, my wife enjoyed seeing Keanu's hairless butt, no one took on any of the injuries they should have from the butt kicking they were giving or taking, but c'mon! It gave me another 2 hours to live inside that world. I love the Matrix. I love the animatrix, I love the original movie, I love the concept, the delivery, and the style. But I still walked out of the theatre after having watched the preview for Revolutions thinking to myself... "Y'know, it was good, but I really enjoyed X2 more. I wonder if someone has posted the Architect's dialogue on the EN Boards yet?"
