I ordered some books from Expeditious Retreat not long ago and they just came in. Not only was there a hand-written thank you note, but they were individually gift-wrapped with "Merry Christmas in July - XRP" written on the wrapping paper. Now that's customer service!

I've only skimmed the books so far, but they look great too. You guys are awesome!

We received Silk Road and MMS:WE second printing yesterday and sent out the preorders from our on-line store (www.xrpshop.citymax.com) yesterday afternoon. And they are gift wrapped too.

It is Christmas in July...

The Christmas-in-July sale ends on August 1, and yes, it is a shamless excuse to wrap things in Christmas paper.

Is the new printing of MMS:WE hardcover or softcover? I thought it was going to be hardcover, but I see no mention of that on the site.

It isn't the "new" one. It is the old one with some new art and revisions. The "new" one that was announced is on indefinite hold until Joe gets motivated to finish writing it.

This one is essentially given a make over and to make it available in print again.

Correct. I'm sorry to say but I just couldn't focus like I needed to to write an expanded verson of MMS:WE. It's a bear.

We relayed it out, put in a bunch of new art, and are putting it back into distribution for all the people who asked for a hard copy of it. I felt that if I wouldn't be able to get an expanded version out, I should at least get it back into distribution for everyone else.

And it's softcover and it's now 166 pages.
