Yay! Parodying "T$R" as Ha$bro.

If I remember, when WotC bought TSR, TSR were on the brink of collapsing.

So much for T$R.

But hey: perhaps if Ha$bro went the same direction, the world would be a better place. For a few years, they'd produce better quality and cheaper products- and then they'd fold!

Wouldn't that be a good idea!

(end rant)

BTW RangerWickett, the reason people are predicting doom for this thread is because the whole "T$R" thing was a VERY touch subject back in the TSR days. Employees at TSR, very understandably, didn't care to be characterized as money-grubbing misers. In fact if I recall correctly using T$R was grounds for getting banned or put on notice on TSR's e-mail discussion lists.

Might I also point out that it became a very, very, very lame thing to do well before TSR went down and that it still went on well after they were bought by WotC?

Hey, c'mon people! The Hasbro suits who really deserve our ire will never know we even exist. Nor would they likely give a $hit either.

But there are a lot of great WotC people who post here regularly who aren't really to blame for the stupid management decisions that Hasbro makes.

I think it would be a tragedy to alienate those people. Its great that we can come here, our own little D&D corner of cyberspace, and rub shoulders with people like Anthony Valterra, Bruce Cordell, and host of other former and current WotC employees.

Lets make them feel welcome lest we drive them away.

You're right, but missing the point; this is mainly for our enjoyment. :)

Again, you're right, but I hope that those fine folks would know that the majority of us in this thread are trashing Ha$bro and not them, or WotC.

Hell, I bet if they could do it openly and not fear retribution of some sort, they would too.

:D
