(YB) Rathan Vs. Sanctus Togashi II! (Phoenix Judging Again!)

(Some of you are taking my direction off course, I never stated that the judgement was wrong, or that being a 'magic user' is wrong. I asked if, In order to accomodate my own style, is it appropriate to use a few lines in order to mandate the description?

Ciaran, you may not have understood that Sanctus refering to his master as if he was a tool for power was being a rat, but that's not the subject. Nothing in your post has anything to do with what I'm talking about. I have no problem with other players themes, whether magic user, or animal, my issue is entirely with the rules and whether they would forbid me from elaborating outside of my post, for the sake of my own theme.

I am not directing this at other players themes, or the judgement of the round. I am asking whether or not it's appropriate to elaborate on a post in order to make interpretations simpler to understand.

Across this medium, I understand why my point is becoming bogged down by misunderstandings.)

The crab moves next to the cavern; conceals the slash of the insect!

"Rathan, you are undoubtedly worthy of my complete respect. I understand and comprehend your very nature, and find it incredibly interesting to delve into with my thoughts. What brought you to become so praised and to lead so many?"

In an effort to resist another divine assault, Sanctus takes cover behind the rubble near the fountain. Using the hardened rock as a shell to cover his movements towards around the cavern from which the fountains springs drift, he makes his way towards a hardened carapace shell of a Mudcrab. The hardened shell of a mudcrab is less refined, but not much different from the chiten shells of the Kwama, highly resistant to magic and piercing attacks, however, extremely easy to break with a bludgeon.

The heavy, almost wooden, shell of the dark and murky cave mudcrab in his hand, Sanctus attempts to cover himself from the range and strength of his opponent, while closing as much as possible in order to conceal his attack.

"Good Rathan, If only you understood the nature of my homeland. Then I could tell a wonderful joke of the crab clan right now..."

In his moment of zen, Sanctus leaps towards Rathan, using the thrown shell as cover while he attempts, his hardest, to engage his opponent directly in unarmed combat. Hoping that his protection and concealment would protect him from the outwards attacks of his opponent, and hoping his fleet and guarded movements would not be stopped too soon.

"I wish you luck my friend..."

You may elaborate and interpret as much as you want within the context of the post itself, but you may not add a supplementary post for the same purpose.

I apologize for the rude tone and inadequate content of my previous post.

"Whew! Awesome, ya'll! Lucky for Sanctus that his defense held there or he woulda been in a deep hole flag-wise."

Round 4: 1 flag for Sanctus

"4 flags Rathan, 2 flags Sanctus!"

Sanctus.... you are very diverse... I thought I had you that round....

Rathan wanders over to a near-by mountain slope a places a hand apon it... I love this place... the trees.. the grass... this mountain here... everthing about this place is a part of me... even the skys themselves....and the sky is where I wish to call my next move......

Rathan takes hs hand off the mountain slope and mutters yet a few more words... and then takes an attack stance facing Sanctus....

From the Sun I call the sky..... from the Eye I call my power.... from my temple I call my faith.... give me the strenth to win this battle over my much worthy opponent..... this has gone on long enough....

The sky grows dark for the moment and it starts raining...... all is quite.....

my spell is ready Sanctus.... are you??? CALL LIGHTNING!!!

with those words Rathan erupts into a blinding white light.... swirling with blue electrical enegry.... and with a thunderouse KI-YA.... for respect for Sanctus rathan unleashes a vanquishing lightning bolt from his inner soul itself......

The lightning vanquishes the temple; grasps the touch of the mountain!

The thunder sweeps across the pillars; wards off the storm of the grass! *yen*

"Rathan, let's get at this then. Prepare thineself, I'm not about to stop."

Fist of Fury

The mantis speaks in the midst of the plain; averts the stab of the holy ground! *yen*

"As you call upon the ground and skies, I call upon my ancestors. Li-Shen-Lung, the Thunder Dragon..."

Sanctus holds his index finger of his left hand against the ring finger of his right, his thumbs both pointed towards the sky, the rest of his fingers curled in, and focuses his chi. He inhales twice, and exhales once, looking into his opponents eyes.

"Shen-Lung Li, I call upon you to act as my guardian, my ancestral guardian, against my opponents wrath. I speak to you in the name of Togashi Hoshi, my father, and in my own valued name. Let the Wommburn burn in my heart, and let the will of the ancients guide my hand."

Sanctus wish for his ancestors to answer his call is told, and as the summon begins to take place, he springs out his step. Sweeping from rock to rock, dashing across the distance that his opponent has managed to gather, leaping forth and back. Remarkably, his arms wrap over each other, his feat barely springing off his rolled toes with each motion, channeling the spirits within him to aid his movement towards his opponent, who pauses his speach so elequently as he prepares his spells...

"Rathan!"

Calling out the title of his opponent, Sanctus draws his katana: Kouen Enryou (Lightning Greatsword), and his wakizashi: Ryozan (Flame), attempting the Mantis Clan's most awesome technique: Yoritomo's Rolling Wave, Sanctus speaks out to his opponent in the middle of this great field of battle...

Directing his force, Sanctus defends himself from natures very storm, warding himself well from the energies of man, plant, and sky as best his imbued spirit can. "I've called upon my ancestor, may the holy name from the holy place I have called it be shown in it's true glory."

Sanctus attack is a unique bobbing motion invented by the Mantis Champion Yoritomo, he uses his Wisdom, Intelligence, and Dexterity to avoid his opponents attacks, while unleashing his duel bladed attack, parrying and striking with the Voice of the Storm and his two-weapon fighting technique. Under the guard of his ancestor, he tries with all his might to overwhelm his opponents defense.

Edit: Added the names of my Katana's, which I had to get home to look up. Don't count it if you don't feel like it, just had to find the info.

"Ho-boy! Sanctus continues his comeback with a sweet move that BARELY manages to overcome Rathan's powerful and skilled lightning attack!!"

Round 5: 2 flags for Sanctus.

"4 flags for both fighters!"

"You make me once again astonished by your will to win this match Sanctus.... I am very pround of your progress outside my temple..... but now I show you why I have this staff here at my side......"

Rathan is an attempt to show his skill with his staff... starts to twirl it gracefully up and around his head and around diffrent parts of his body... the moving with blazing speed flips the staff an himself several times......

"I call apon the mighty staff of my elders to annihilate any and all that may stand in my way..."

"I am sorry Sanctus... but I must not easy with you... I must give you all I have or nothing at all...."

Rathan sends the head of the staff into the ground cuasing a massive sonic blast that sends shockwaves across the landscape.... sending most everything but a few very old trees asunder.... the ground itself uproots benieth Sanctus' feet as Rathan finds himself having to hold his own ground from the elemental terror that springs from this destruction....

After the dust settles some.... the landscape looks like it has been ravaged by ten thousand demons or something to that nature....... everything is left in shambles.... from where Rathan is standing he cannot see what has happened to is honorable opponent...

"I fear I have a little cleaning up to do when this battle is done Sanctus....."

"I need only use this power because I have nothing left to effect you my former student.... after this.... I will have to be creative to find something to effect you.... but fret not... I WILL find something...."

*Rathan Smiles*

The staff annihilates the city; shields against the motion of the elements!

The courageous panther slays the grotto; protects against the push of the stone!

"Rathan, this fight is not nearly over, we have only just now passed the point of no return. Be strong..."

Sanctus movements from solid rock to solid rock from the previous round end, bouncing away from his opponent in order to protect himself against the next attack. Hoping that he can hold out against this last divine assault, Sanctus makes an almost supernatural leap into the sky. Grasping each blade individually, Sanctus hurls the Wakizashi in an arc towards his opponents upper left arm, along the area where a pauldron would reside. His katana in motion, Sanctus forces his weight down on the back edge of the blade with his open left hand.

"I am not afraid of you, Rathan, and I am confident that you have the courage to face me as well."

Fearlessly diving behind the long blade of his katana, Sanctus drives into his opponent with an uncertain amount of acrobatic control. His fall towards Rathan is without a doubt a bold and insane motion, that if mis-judged could very well result in a horrible fate for Togashi.

Coming down from his aerial manuevers and cat-like pounce, Sanctus realizes that it would take his opponent very little effort to manuever away from the blade. In turn, Sanctus establishes in his own mind, that should his opponent manage to evade this attack, he will protect himself by the shelter of a nearby stone mound, and then stealthfully manuever through the grotto towards his opponent once again, then pounce upon him with Sanctus katana in sheath.

With tooth and hand, rearing back in an attempt to rip Rathan's armaments away and expose his opponent to a more fruitful type of combat, Sanctus brutally follows up his increadible leap, from which he lands on his feat with catlike reaction, with a barrage of unarmed attacks meant to cut and bruise Rathan. In an almost gladatorial way, Sanctus attempts with the best of his knowledge to find the weakness in his opponent's physical combat style in order to best decide how to go about his next attack.

"Too bad for Sanctus that the ground he landed on after his leap was not as solid as he had hoped..."

Round 6: 1 flag for Rathan

"5 flags for Rathan, 4 flags for Sanctus Togashi!"
