Well, the consideration of rules for the Named Location aren't in bounds for this poll, just whether the generator should change. Any weight added or not, would be solely the decision and interpretion of the judge. But maybe instead of having it produce an extra hit, maybe have it treated as an 'automatic' crowd pleaser move (ie, you get some yen if it comes up)? Anyway, just to reiterate this poll shouldn't be concerned all too much either way as to any rules changes to have because of adding that potential, but discussion at least can occur here :), at least so I don't have to use my fancy sounding bump phrases :).

You did ask for thoughts on the matter...

The effect could go many different ways, but I don't think it should depend on the whim of the judge - there should be some set guidelines set forth first. Kinda like the style of the day taking precedence over the location of the fight which ranks over the time of day (or night).

That's why I tend to lean towards not having it affect the move itself for determining the winner - keeps it simpler for the judges (who already have more than enough to keep track of.)

I also like your idea of using it like a crowd pleaser instead of extra points... :)

Ah the weight if no move is clearly better.

Okie.

What I was trying to say though, is more broadly, if one move had a named location and one did not, it would really just be the judges opinion as to if having the named location or not 'helped' (ie, they just judge the move as they currently do), and I do agree to a large extent.

For the 'tie-breaker' types, it shouldn't be a consideration really, if at all, have it's consideration be below location etc.

Ya, only real problem I have with the hand gens (both on the web-gen and on MB) is they do showcase some trouble with psuedo-random behavior...
