(YBA) Sharlea, Laith and Diaochan in Wicht's lair

sorry I haven't been on much (I won't be on much tomorrow either)

The three companions proceed through the doors and enter into an outer chamber. There are two broken statues on the floor. Torches burn cheerlessly on either side of the room and around the walls are frescos depicting children being snatched from their mothers. There are two doors across the chamber from the doors leading outside. These two doors are of wood and are carved with many faces screaming and crying.

There are sounds as of scurrying from inside the inner room. It certainly is not empty though the noises make it impossible to tell what is inside.

Diaochan grabs one of the torches from the wall and proceeds to open the scary looking doors, thrusting the torch forward...

Sharlea is by her side as they enter.

*laith's sword is drawn and he is covering the two females backs as we all enter the crypt.....*

The room beyond the grisly doors is a mess, to say the least. There are coffins scattered everywhere, smashed and piled on top of each other. There are several corpses, half eaten lying draped here and there in an undignified manner. There is also a small boy, perhaps 6 years old. sitting on top of an overturned coffin watching the three with interest. He has the face of a cherub and a beautiful smile.

Another child sticks her head up from behind a pile of shattered coffins and looks at the fighters with interest. A giggle from somewhere in the room lets the three know that there are more than just the two little waifs in the room.

I'm guessing these guys are NOT normal children...

Diaochan throws the torch toward the child to see how it reacts (not an attack)

 

[Wicht]

The small boy watches the torch fly towards him, and then watches it land in front of him. He seems to have no fear of the fire.

Two more small children, perhaps 7 or 8, look up from where they were crouching behind a coffin eating something. They are still happily chewing away and they look with interest at the fighters.

"Want to play?" asks a boy, 10 years or so old, from behind the fighters. How did he get there?

The fighters notice the children are dressed in rags. They all smile very sweetly however.

Sensing danger, Sharlea moves forward towards the 3 or 4 children inside the tomb so that she can absorb the brunt of any attack that may be forthcoming. She also gets her hammer ready to go...

"And what games would you like to play, little ones?"

OOC: reposting this here because I have a feeling we are about to need it! It sure would be fun for Sharlea to start laying down the hammer smackdown on this day of the hammer!

"I like to play chase." says a little girl to the left of the fighters. Where did she come from?

"I like to eat" says a little boy, perhaps four years old, to their right sticking his head up out of a coffin.

"We know lots of games." says the oldest boy, the one who had first spoken.

"I know, let's play 'Smash the little devils that look like sweet children!"

With that yell, Sharlea attacks the nearest small opponent!

The claw overwhelms the foothills; avoids the push of the lightbeam!

Just how many of these little monsters are there now, Wicht?
