The cool thing with the Mystic theurge is that you can come with lots of new broken/munchkin feats about multiclassing spelcasting classes without having everyone scream at it

Here is my "broken feat of the week" :

Prereq : Knowledge(religion), knowledge(arcana), spellcraft , =7
Domain (magic)
Benefits :
Choose an arcane progression table. You gain 1 slot for each level you can cast, in which you can prepare spells from your clerical and domains lists.


Alternate (weaker) benefit :
You can prepare spells from your clerical and domain spell lists in your arcane slots. You can use at most 1 slot / slot level in this way.

Alt.Alt.restrictive benefit: You must use one of your arcane slot from each slot level to prepare a spell from your clerical or domains lists.


so a Wiz 17 clr 1 can cast miracle ! woohoo !

I would restrict this by a strict reading of the rules: the character has 9th level wizard slots which can be used for clerical spells, but the character doesn't have those 9th level clerical spells to prepare.

But if he wanted to use a 9th level wizard slot for, say, multiply empowered cure light wounds, that would be fine.

I would also nerf the first version somewhat, to "Add +2 in the appropriate ability score when calculating extra spells per day".
