Yet more 3.5 questions (sorry!)

There seems to be some conflict on the 3.5 version of Dodge: originally everyone assumed it was raised to a +2 bonus. Then I seem to recall Andy Collins posting that Dodge received no change. Anyone have the last word on this?

Also, does anyone know if they're cleaning up some of the ambiguities re: intelligent magic items. There was a market price, but you had to pay for randomness, so it seemed; and it was unclear whether you could boost your intelligent item's int score, which could alter its abilities. What I'm getting at, is that the process wasn't well-presented (IMHO), and I was hoping someone heard something on this.

Finally (thanks for bearing with me through this :) ), does anyone know if you'll be able to upgrade "unique" weapons and armor such as holy avengers or celestial armors?

One of my players in our upcoming campaign has been asking about these things, as he knows I'll be using 3.5.

Thanks all, and I appreciate any insight any of you could provide.

Andy Collins says no change to the Dodge feat.

The 3.5 DMG revises magic item creation, but not much has been revealed concerning the particulars.

You can upgrade those weapons now if you wish, although you may have to make a judgement call as to their current market value in pluses. For example, the holy avenger has a market value of 120,315 gold pieces. That is close to +8 on the weapons chart. So you could add Keen and Ghost Touch to it for approximately 40,000 gold pieces in cost and 3200 XP. You could not add anything more to this weapon without the epic rules.

Not sure about 3.5, but A&EG took a shot at cleaning up intelligent items, by providing market prices for individual abilities, rather than a single blanket price for a given intelligence.

Well by the letter of the rules you can't upgrade them right now, although it might certainly be within the flavor of the rules (depending on DM's opinion) to allow it using the system you give. I wouldn't be surprised if 3.5 is the same way.
