Hey, I'm sorry about hitting the REPORT button. Then saying I did it. That was passive aggressive Weak Sauce, and I should've just said something to you about it or asked for clarification instead of hitting that damn button.
Everybody here knows I have a hateboner for...certain...revisions...of D&D. Unlike 4e, and 3e, I'm really actually hopeful for 5e (well, I was hopeful for 3e, too, but that's another story). And I can be...sort of...edition-warlike at times.
Unlike those times, though, I'd like to get in at the ground floor of 5e. If it's not what I hope, then, well, I can say I gave it a shot and that instead of sitting back and letting the second- and third-hand reports flow in and make a post or posts or posting history even based on that, I'll at least know.
So I think in my rush to be perceived as the guy who is pretty hidebound about ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS but is now being evenhanded, and indeed enthusiastic, I shot first and asked questions later.
So I apologize to TerraDave and the mods for bugging them about this. It was an honest misunderstanding, and nobody should get a vacation out of this (and TD didn't, as he clarified). I think all this enthusiasm should be focused on what we the gamers can best make out of D&D Next, and I look forward to discussing it further - hell, if WOTC has it all in one sock, shaping it.
