You Come Back Corrupted - Would You Play This?

Hi everyone!!

I’m currently working on my first TTRPG. I’ve previously released a few board games, so I’ve spent some time in that side of the industry, and I’ve always really appreciated how passionate and thoughtful tabletop communities can be. That’s actually why I wanted to come here and ask for your input.

What do you personally love most in the TTRPGs you’ve played or read? And just as important - what are the things you really dislike or feel are overdone?

If you’re curious about what I’m working on, the project is called Planet Revenant. It’s essentially a roguelike experience in a TTRPG format - but instead of coming back stronger after death, you return more corrupted and changed. Growth isn’t just power; it’s transformation, sometimes in unsettling ways.

The setting is heavily inspired by 60s–70s sci-fi, metal music, underground counterculture, and other strange relics of the past that people tend to feel nostalgic about. I’m trying to capture that gritty, psychedelic, slightly unhinged energy.

I’ve got a Kickstarter page up (currently in a preview mode only), and if anyone’s interested, I’d also be happy to share a WIP PDF preview of the book.

Hopefully I’m posting in the right place - and that I don’t get nuked immediately 😅

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you’re willing to share!
