Your First magical Item

Tarangil

First Post
In everybodys history of Gaming there's always their first and/or most memorable character, that they'll never forget. Putting characters aside though does anyone remember what their first special magical item was? There's always the one magic item you'll never forget.

Example: The first I remember the most was a lowly scimitar +2 named Thanamar that could cast Jump 3x per day. Got a lotta use out of it and it was used more than other flashy weapons that were found later.:)

Potion of Healing. Lots of them. Found a shelf full (~12) in the barracks room of Quasqueton (In Search of the Unknown). And each had 3 doses.

Quasqueton

It's a tossup between the +5 Vorpal(yes, I know) Rapier and a Circlet of Major Blasting, acquired at the same time. DMs shouldn't play with the Deck of Many Things when the party's at 5th level.

A sword of sharpness. +1 but could cut off limbs and effect creatures requiring +3 weapons. That was had by my bandit/noble (kinda a Robin Hood thing)

The shatterspike longsword which had belonged to the (by then) late Sir Bradford, from Sunless Citadel.

Not the best item for a sorcerer (albeit an elven one), but no one else wanted it.

Cloak of Blending...inside had a switch with 3 settings, whip, chop, and puree...needless to say we didn't actually wear it, but was quite useful for taking care of pesky ogres :D

My first DM used that cloak of blending too!

I was just lucky that my character was not the one who found out how it actually worked. Unfortunatley our Bard Fuji the Wonderful found out the cloaks salsa secret.

10 +1 Ballista Bolts of Major Impact (my DM made up that Special Ability; causes the force on a siege weapon's attack to be increased tenfold). It was in a campaign with CVC (castle versus castle) action, so it fit. Still kind of odd.
