Your training and practice schedule?

i read a lot.

i catch the latest talk on the message boards/internet

and i spend time talking to people face to face.



all of which gives me some material to use or not use when i'm gaming. both in front and behind the DM screen.

Recently I gave a test (25 rules-related questions) to my players (just for fun). The results were disastrous, but they've learned something: knowing the rules can help them ;) (some questions were drawn directly from their adventures)

Some of them are now actively trying to learn the rules themselves.

Beside that, having access to the Complete Spell Cards helps them alot ;)

Acting... well, that's a different matter. Each of us gives his or her best shot, and that's fine. Nobody would expect a performance, and that's something I'm very thankful for.


I performed like an absolute amateur.
What some consider to be amateurs are seen as (semi-) professionals by others. It's all a matter of perspective...
