In fairness: The Nedraz are closer to Howard's Valusian Serpentmen than to the Yuan-ti.

They could be used to fulfill that role, mechanically, with the story stripped away and a new narrative placed on top of them, of course. Though so could Elves.

It occurs to me that OP didn't specify whether they were looking for a heritage, or a monster... and we're all just assuming heritage. They did ask about the MoMe, which makes me think they meant monster.

Probably, but I don't think it would be difficult to either make new NPC statblocks representing either heritage, or adapt WotC's yuan-ti to a5e's format (if desired).

My impression was that they wanted a A5E version (because, IMO, those monsters are almost always better than WotC's design).
Eh. Maybe 2014 MM style designs (that persisted into VGT and MTF), but I feel like you're usually better off with Tales of the Valiant or MM25 designs of monsters with direct equivalents.

..with some exceptions because when WOTC messes up they do so with aplomb.

Exactly this. A5e monster stat's format, additional info (such as signs and behavior) and features (favourite spells in the stat block, more bonus actions and reactions, legendary resistance have downsides to the creature, etc) are so far superior to any other I ever found that I just want all my monster to follow the A5e "quality standard"

What to you makes 5.5 monsters better? Are you talking about statblocks, or other text? Because I feel all the non-statblock info in the A5e entries in particular are miles ahead of any other 5e monster product.
