Yugi-oh undead dragon / behemoth toy, keep or ditch the wings?

I just got this 'model' kit [ more of a cheap toy you self assemble]. Plastic is greasy and soft but at least has some fair detail. The overall shape strikes me of some lumbering beast rather than dragon and i think the fig would be better without the wings and the joints puttied. However I am not sure because my players said it would look good with larger wings [ neck lengthing could help as well ].

Any suggestions on whether to keep the wings? And what colours would work for this triumph of necromancy?

I think that as it stands, I'd go without the wings. If you want wings, then I agree with your players, you would need to make the wings bigger for it to look good.

As for colors, I'd go with a purplish bruised color for the flesh, and a really nasty dirty brown on the bones/claws. Or, go with a dried out dusty tan/brown color on the flesh and a dry bone color of the bones for a more desiccated/mummified look.

Wings - I like the wings. I might drill into the joint on the wings and add some stiff wire to expand them to give a shredded wing look. Cut the wings supplied up a bit and add some putty to the expanded area.

Colors - Deep blues, purples, and grays as others have suggested.
