Wait a minute . . . didn't comment on YouTube as I don't have an account, but . . .

Sooo, "Zeppelin vs. Pterodactyls" was released and copyrighted in 1936, but has an ad for next week's chapter starring Terrance Stamp!!?!?!?!

Stamp wasn't even born until 1939! He's not that old!

Something is fishy here, either this is a fake of some sort (which I actually doubt), or it's spliced together wrong with other stuff (more likely) . . .

I'm so curious . . .

Hmmm, maybe I should have looked closer before posting! It looks like the poster of the clip actually created a mashup of a variety of old serials and other sources inspired by the original 1936 serial and later attempts in the 70s, which would explain Terrance Stamp, among other anachronisms I didn't notice at first.

It's a fake! I presented it as if it was really made in 1936 by Republic Pictures to see if I could convince anyone, but that part is a hoax. The honest story is that this film title was floated by Hammer Films around 1971. They commissioned a poster to attract investors, and came up with a synopsis, but never made the movie. After hearing this, I remembered some old serials that showed zeppelins and dogfights (Dick Tracy, Hurricane Express, The Phantom Creeps, lots of others with dogfights) and unfortunately only two old public domain movies that show glimpses of pterodactyls (The Lost World (1925) and Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet). So there really never was a movie by this title from 1936.

Sorry to mislead you. I tried to leave hints, like Terence Stamp ("Kneel before Zod!") who wasn't born until 1939. Also there are two Wilhelm screams in the middle of it, kind of an inside joke for movie fans. It's a stock sound clip that's been used in a bunch of Westerns and action movies from its first recording in the 50s right up through Star Wars and Kill Bill and Sin City.

I'd love to see the whole 13 episodes! (I might even be willing to buy the DVD)

and if anyone wants to run a game based on the premise then I'm willing to play

Yeah, you fooled me at first. But sorry to tell ya it ain't hard to do! I did notice some of the comments on YouTube seem to imply I'm not the only one fooled!

I was buying it hook, line and sinker until Terrance Stamp showed up. Then I had to stop, rewind, do a few double takes before realizing something was not what I expected.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tonguez! I don't think I can scrounge up any more public domain footage of pterodactyls to make more episodes, but I'm planning a short clip of Zep vs. Pterodactyls the cartoon, relying heavily on old Max Fleischer Superman and maybe some old Popeye.
