Episode 2 of my how-to podcast Fantasy Cartography with Adobe Photoshop is now online!

View it here at YouTube!

In this episode, we finish aging the paper background we started in the first episode, and I explain my Photoshop philosophy as I create an even crinklier version of our paper.

If you have any questions or comments, or have a request for a future podcast, contact me here! I've gotten a lot of great feedback so far, but I'd love to hear what you think of the series so far.

I've watched both now, and this is great stuff! The pacing is perfect. I was able to follow along with Photoshop to work with it as you describe it. Since I don't know much about Photoshop, I really appreciate how you walk through everything so carefully. My only recommendation was going to be to make it a slightly higher resolution, but the second download site is much better.

I'm really looking forward to the next video!

Thanks! I wish I had more control over how the final video looks, but ultimately, it gets converted into Flash by YouTube and Revver, and at that poing I'm a slave to their encoding. :\

I'm hoping to get the whole series up on the iTunes podcast directory as soon as I get a reliable source of bandwidth, and there at least I'll have complete control over how the final version looks!

You could always upload the originals to like rapidshare, this will give people more choices and also will allow you to have more control over what you are trying to accomplish.

Butch, have you checked www.Libsyn.com? It's the site I use for my podcast, The Gamer Traveler, and many other podcasters use it as well. Super easy, cheap and podcast-oriented from the get-go.

I've looked at several such providers, but I'd prefer to work out some kind of sponsorship instead; I'm on a pretty tight budget, and since I'm doing a video podcast the file sizes get pretty chunky!
