This is the first thing I've read about 4E that's made me think to myself "Frickin' COOL."

If I never switch to 4E, I'm stealin' this for my 3.5 games.

Very cool. Sounds like zombies as they ought to be.

+1. Zakkly what I would have said.

and I like the "non fleeing" undead...at least to a certain extent. I'd prefer a mechanic where some undead would flee based on the power/level of the cleric and some (like vampired as someone mentioned) would be "held back".

As someone who's seen Shaun of the Dead about 5 times and have been (re)playing the Resident Evil remake on Nintendo DS for the past days, I find this article awesome! :D
Even though some people might not like WotC saying 4e zombie will be based on movies and games, fhe flavor they're going for is absolutely excellent.
Also, the change in Turn Undead is very welcome - though I do want to see powerful clerics turn lower level undead into putrid dust. ;)
I just hope they dont take every option away.

The way it is written, it seems as if that result is remaining, with creatures that aren't destroyed but would be turned in 3e being held at bay in 4e.
