Did anyone here catch the new "Doctor Who"?

I was wondering what fellow role-players thought of it. Me being in So Cal, I'll probably not see it for another year or so, but waiting makes things better anyway.

its not airing where I am but I heard not so good things about it. I miss the old one

No, but the trailers look reasonable. The new Doctor seems to be one of the junkies from Trainspotting.

Me and a couple of buddies watched it on his computer last week. The new Doctor is still goofy, but they broke the mold as far as being out of fashion goes. It wasn't bad, but I'll need to watch more episodes before I get too enthusiastic.

If there's been a deal reached to air it in the US I've not heard about it, but Sylvester McCoy gave it a pretty good review on the BBC News website.

It was OK.

It introduced the Doctor, his new assistant Rose, the Tardis, sonic screwdriver and the general Dr Who story to a new audience. It didn't build any real tension up during the show, but then it didn't really have any time left to do that.

Hopefully future episodes will be able to devote more time to the story and less to bringing new viewers up to speed. I'm quietly optimistic.

No but we have it on tape, so I hope to see it later. I was les then optimistic about it but I saw a trailer and now it looks good.
