Sorry, Red Knight, didn't mean to pigeonhole your dude there. I'll take that comment down about the potential healer. (And replace it with something more, um, manly.) I just think it's cool that with 3.5 and later, Clerics are totally optional, and even a ranger can cast cure spells! Bards are better at it, though, and they cast arcane cure spells at that!

You're most welcome, too, Red Knight! We look forward to having you join our little game of marginally insane shenanigans. All the rest of us in this game are very well acquainted already, some from RL and some just from ENWorld.

Not a problem man. If you think ranger could pull it off I will roll with it and care a wand or two and keep to my original plan.

Just need the point buy and I'll get his stats up and ready tonight, got some Dead Space 3 co-op to do, and get him settled in.

Ok, let's not get in too big a hurry, though. I have to give this game LOTS of thought and planning before we can even begin to get started, DeWar already had a character on stand-by, so that's why he is so far along. Truthfully, two days ago, this game was not even a twinkle in my eye, and I would have easily sworn that I would not be starting suich a game anytime soon! So everybody JUST CHILL, please? Slow down, make careful plans, and let's proceed s-l-o-w-l-y.

Johann Klaus the damned
Disgraced Knight of the order of the white rose. Now seeking Absolution by doing acts of good, hoping for the nightmares to end .. .. .. ..

He was with a group once, they were sent to fight an evil in the back of a mine that was killing off miners. Turned out to be a greater evil then expected. His party members were getting killed by strong undead and turning into the same creatures of the nether world! he ran, aged and weakened by the vampire and his minions he ran back to his tower of the white rose. He was proclaimed a coward and dis-banded- his armor taken and only a common sword to defend himself with with 1 week of rations to go away, and keep going........

Sure thing...I guess I'll just come up with a name and basic background then. Have you thought about what realm you'll be going with?

Yeah, in PF and 3.5 both "party healing" can be spread out amongst two or three party members so no one has to carry the load by themselves. Alchemists have the Cure spells on their formula lists, so my character can do some as well. Also, CLW wands are dirt cheap (and CMW/CSW cheap for what you get as well).

Hi folks! Sorry for the delay! Depending on the setting, I was thinking of a barbarian/fighter (or barbarian/ranger) combo a la Fafhrd or Conan. Thanks for the invite!!

A Few Things....

First of all, "POINT BUY" has not been determined yet. I'm even still toying with the idea of actually rolling ability scores, although the probability of having disparate scores from character to character does weigh against that.

Second of all: SETTING. I'm running two AD&D 1E games in the Flaeness [World of Greyhawk]. I think I'd like to have this game set there as well, just for consistency's sake. The other possibilities are Forgotten Realms and Golarion. Ix-nay on the Ebberron-ay, uck-yay. Ikewise-lay on the omebrew-hay -- too much work for the already overworked GM. Like I said, I'm leaning towards Greyhawk, but nothing's been decided yet.

Does this collection of "non-answer answers" help anyone at all?

Oh, and P.S.: I'm glad to have everyone on board for this venture! Your enthusiasm is most gratifying, and I appreciate it very much. It will be a challenge to provide a game worthy of such quality players.

Greyhawk certainly sounds good to me. I'd be honored to have my character follow in the footsteps of Tenser and Mordenkanan (sp?)
