Heinrich

Racking his crossbow bolt, Heinrich smiles at the others."I'll be nearby."

Turning, Heinrich moves into cover nearby, finding a tree to hide behind.

[sblock]not completely sure what our surroundings are like, but I'm going to try and find some cover, something to conceal myself behind.[/sblock]

Ikni moves close to the others, deferring to their greater familiarity with the region and its likely threats. Her hand steals to the reassuring comfort of the hilt of her blade.

[sblock=OOC]Where is Gord now? If he's withdrawing to his house, we need to follow at least somewhat - the skeletal Eladrin is after him, after all. If he stays near us, that's best, but if not I'd like to stay ~30 feet from the house: within easy call and close enough to observe.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Good point, Taran. We shouldn't get too far away from Gord. I don't suppose one of the stronger characters wants to grab him by the collar and force him to stick around? After all, facing your fears makes you stronger. Unless your fear is an Eladrin lich (known in some circles as a Baelnorn). Then facing your fear is probably a terrible idea.

Or we could go back to his house. He did say he used to be an adventurer, and he could have that "strength born of desperation" thing going for him, so we might not be able to restrain him if we tried.

Well, Haruka's not going to follow him back to his house unless the rest of the party does.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Weren't the Baelnorn good? Or at least, not evil? I feel as though I read that in my Ruins of Myth Drannor boxed set, way back in the day.[/sblock]"Mister Gord, we must speak to these creatures. They certainly have clues we need. If we offer to help them, I doubt they'll harm us."[sblock=Diplomacy to stiffen his resolve]Diplomacy 10
C'mon Derien, seriously, get it together now.[/sblock]

"This sound like Daunton Woods from fifty years ago, before Arga the Black severed it's link to the Feywild. Back then, these woods were the source of countless alien threats to the region." He pauses to look around the woods, "If that is the case, it may be best to avoid being caught out in the open. We don't know what we'll be dealing with, and there is a definite possibiltiy that it will not be open to negotiation."

Ikni speaks hesitantly. "I have not fought in forests before. But... I do not like running and hiding. Surely these foes respect strength?"

ooc: I think I feel a consensus for standing our ground.
