I haven't kept up with the previews so what is meant by Superior Implements? There are plenty of new ones in the book and as to if these are just better then the others I'd have to do a side by side comparison.

I think they are supposed to be comparable to the Superior Weapons. I don't recall where they were discussed off hand, I just remember their existence being mentioned. Perhaps someone else who has a better recollection of the discussion surrounding them can chime in.

This was in the June Preview article:

Chapter 1: Magic Items: This chapter focuses on superior implements, a new type of masterwork item to give implement users more options, and magic items, the favorite equipment of PCs. New items include ammunition, wondrous tattoos and lairs, and consumable immurements.

There's been some guesswork that these are similar to masterwork armors, but no solid info.

Huh, I'm disappointed on the Superior Implement thing ... designers had talked about rectifying the balance there between weapon users and implement users.

So, Songblades, any notable ones? I'm playing a bard and the PH2 selection is small.

Also, what are your general impressions of the book? How does it compare to AV1?

On a related note, are there any bows or crossbows that allow you to use them as Bard implements in AV2?
