Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Battles: Rise of the Runelords Minis

They look really good! Sigh, more money down the drain... :)

I'm just perplexed by the harpy. From the picture it looks quite ugly and absolutely not at the same level of the others.
Yeah so far they look like a step up from the first set! But that harpy is a fugly feathered folk.

I'm sure others would say it's a "business necessity", but IMO it's a flawed theory that to keep average per mini costs of the sets down they've got to have some cruddy minis.

On the contrary I think it builds in greater incentive to buy aftermarket minis rather than pre-orders or directly from Paizo and its distributors (of minis sets).

And this is only 14 of the 60 miniatures in the set.

Can't wait to see the goblins in this set.

That Stone Giant Champion looks phenominal!!:D

Does being a "Rise of the Runelords Set" mean that the characters are just drawn from that AP, or is it intended that you could buy the full set somehow and have (most of) the figures you'd need to run the Path?

Better put aside your dollars then, because the Rune Giant is coming in this set as a separate boxed mini. This was strongly hinted by Erik Mona last fall. Whether that ends up as a perk for pre-ordering a case or just in a box on its own, I don't know. While nothing is guaranteed, I would be flabbergast if it did not come to pass.

This was further confirmed several more times, including in his interview on Know Direction.

So, yup! Big old Rune Giant! Yay!

these look really cool. I got some of the first set. I was happy with the molding. For some of the old D&D minis, the molding was bad like the ghoul in Harbinger.
My poor wallet :(
