Yeah, I've already starting taking notes as to what jumps out at me, either good or bad, for discussion in relation to LPF. I'll probably start up a thread for further discussion in a week or two, once people have had some more time to look things over.

I raised an eyebrow or two at the mermaid alt. racial trait. It's true that they're not really giving up anything for it, and that a mermaid barbarian, travel domain-er, etc would be running around faster than a gnome or halfling. Frowny face.

Mermaid with Alt Racial Trait
Barbarian 1 / Cleric (Travel Domain) 1 / Oracle (Flame Mystery - Cinder Dance Revelation) 1
Fleet Feat

50 foot Land Speed while unencumbered

Not to mention an overly optimized character build to the point of being a horrible character from a role playing perspective.

Hello!

Context
So when I made Zhen Yu (Zhen Yu (Korsakovia) - Living Pathfinder RPG Wiki), I forgot to include a medallion for divine focusing. I just joined an adventure, so...

Question
Would I be able to add an item for divine focus (assuming I have the gold for one)? Have her make a detour to The Mystic Pearl?

Just to clarify the intent of this question, he is asking about his character's Divine Focus or otherwise known as Holy Symbol.

If memory serves in situations similar to this, in the past haven't the judges opted to just go ahead and let the player bypass having to go to the pearl so long as they make all the requisite changes to their character sheet (deducting GP for any purchases made, adding the appropriate item) from their starting resources only?

Really the only things that require you to go to the Pearl to purchase are magic items and items made of special materials. Normal items you can add whenever you want outside an adventure and since you are just now getting involved in an adventure I don't think it should be a problem to add that item.

Just an FYI for my players. I had to reinstall windows, and now it's giving me an entirely different set of headaches from before that I have to figure out, and while I can post from my laptop, all my mapping software is on the desktop and currently not cooperating.

The problem is that for a lot of programs, it'll open them, and I can see them in the processes tab of task manager, but that's it. It won't show them open anywhere else; I can't access them in any way, shape, or form once they are "opened."

That is expected. The process tab list will show you services and background tasks as well. Pretty much anything ending in service.exe, svc.exe ss.exe is a background service. In that tab, expect anywhere from 60 to 150 processes that don't "show on the screen".

The Applications tab lists the things that are expected to show on the screen. That list is usually from 1 to 10 programs.

TaskManager is a minimal program. Download and install TaskInfo Home Page. Yes, you can use it for free by ticking the "for personal use" in the registration screen, but it is absolutely worth the $35. It will show you every bit of information that is available about processes. When it is running, it has a "restart in admin mode" in the upper right. That allows it to get even more information.

If you are sure you are running a program that should appear on the screen and it is not, also check your video settings. The machine may think you are running with two video displays and be opening half of the programs on the other screen you cannot see. :p
