Vermitrax sighs. He turns sharply and begins "Nothing will entertain me more than remain in the company of the clinically insane, but alas, I'm tired from a long journey. Sir Kamotz, you should familiarize with the delirious nature of your interlocutor. I am but a humble practitioner of the arcane arts, necromancy spells as well as others of many wizard schools form my repertoire of spells, much like healing spells of clerics. .
Like a death domain cleric? Sharpe asks after the retreating figure of Vermitrax and pulls up a chair next to Kamotz.

So Kamozy, now that we are best friends and everything, let's find an adventure! We can fight
distressed damsels , save sweet dragons, and destroy the world before the other bad guys can do it!

So, you with me?

The door swings open and in steps a gaunt, bookish looking man wearing brown and blue robes which cover his chalk white skin. His visage is sharp featured, with solid black eyes, short black hair, and a pair of spectacles resting on his nose which he fiddles with constantly.

"Good day, dear patrons." He proclaims to the room. "I am Zaroch, initiate arcanist, explorer, and occasional lawyer."

"I have heard this is a prime location to ply my trade."

The newcomer smiles softly as he takes in the surroundings.

OOC: Adrian Zaroch, Level 1 Shade Mage (Enchanter); currently awaiting approval.

Vermitrax turns. He was already at the stairs, happy to have fooled the pair of insane characters. The introduction of the newcomer, and perhaps something about him called his attention. He turns and descends the few steps he had climbed. "Salutations Zaroch. I very much wish to listen to someone sane and intelligent." the mage walks a few steps forward, towards a table. "I'm Vermitrax, alchemist of trade, Fifth rank Spell-weaver from the Imperium. Please have a seat." as he claims his titles, Vermitrax closes to the table and with an invisible touch he spreads two tables before sitting down.

Zaroch seats himself, and nods politely at Vertimax.

"Oh, the insane I can live without." He replies with a smirk. "But I have to say that as far as unsavory company goes, I am quite partial to the simpletons. It is so very easy to pull their strings, nay?"

He pours water from a skin in to his cup, and with a couple of hand gestures, makes it look, smell, and taste like red wine.

"If you must suffer an unpleasant character," he concludes, sipping his drink, "it may as well be one you'll be getting a floor show out of- even if that is because you're making them dance."

Vermitrax's order finally arrives, a steaming dish of 'something', and a wooden beer mug. He lifts the mug slightly at Zaroch's words. "To wise words." he says before drinking. "I must point out their food is astonishingly savoury." he says, lifting a fork with a chunk of something stick to, before eating it. "You mentioned you needed work. I might not be particularly wealthy, nor willing to share a profitiable enterprise, although I'm not stupid either. I have knowledge of certain lich, who has been defeated, not more than two days ago. I also know of the location of its tomb, and an idea of the amount of wealth there secured. By my calculations, the creature will need a couple of weeks to regenerate. I'm going to lead an expedition to the tomb, to firstly destroy the phylanctery and then claim the spoils. Might I interest you in such a quest? It might look dangerous, but alas, the prize is worth the risk." He stands up, his dish unfinished. "Let's follow your advise, shall we?" he walks again towards Sharpe and Kamotz
"Friends" he says, smiling and opening his arms wide. "You were exited at the mention of undead before. Perhaps you'll be willing to aid me in destroying a lich's phylanctery, yes? We have deal with the creature recently, but you never know the ammount of minions a lich can have protecting its phylanctery, do you? I'll be here for a while, think about it and do tell me if you are interested" he says returning to his table.

Zaroch perks up at mention of the tomb, and his glasses slide almost completely off his nose. He hastily pushes them back up.

"You had me at 'lich'." The young mage resonds with eagerness.

He follows Vertimax as the necromancer addresses the two strange fellows, giving a nod of greeting as they are spoken to, but remaining quiet himself.

The door to the tavern slowly opens up a crack, and a short man can be seen peering through the opening. Noticing there is no danger inside, he continues to open the door. It can now be seen that he is indeed a halfling, dressed in cheap leather armor and a hood of cloth making his face shadowed and undistinguishable. He steps inside, removing his hood, and sits at the first unoccupied table he finds.

OOC: come meet him if you want :p http://l4w.wikia.com/wiki/PC:Kershank_(Joepayne)

Chambers listens in on this talk of werewolves and liches, but he does so surreptitiously, with his head down. His day has been disorienting enough without additional helpings of insanity. The halfling, however, catches his eye. Clearly a newbie. Chambers gets up (wincing as his head pounds with renewed intensity) and takes a seat at the small man's empty table. He extends a hand. "Chambers. The barman's givin' you that dirty look because you haven't introduced yourself yet. Tradition dictates that newcomers give their handle if they're gonna be looking for work here- that's what you're here for, innit?"

I'll be happy to help you turn into a Lich, Evil Necromancer! Sharpe says happily (and loudly).

Or will you be a Demi-lich with that disembodied head thing?

Anyway I claim any Dracolich we find, unless you were going to turn into that into that as well...

Or were you looking for the Lich King and the Nine Rings of Mortal Men?
