Are the 2 judges a blue Dragonborn and a Kenku and was the prisoner in the beginning a bubear?
I think aarakokra (those other bird people with the name I can never spell) rather than a kenku.

I thought it might have been a hobgoblin but thinking back it did look like a bugbear.

Vaalingrade

Legend
She literally stuck a guys head on hot coals or molten steel oever whatever that was. Even if she didn't kill some (which she was swinging her axe into their sides etc) she was atleast horribly maiming some.
I mean, these were the same guy carrying out a sentence of 'mutilation'.

A lung full of delicious, nutritious molten iron might even be an actual form of punishment in Forger's Neverwinter.

General thoughts on the movie: It's not an instant classic, but it's fun and enjoyable. It felt very much like an 80's adventure movie and it'll be a proud addition to my DVD collection when it comes out in like a week given how these things work now.

I'd heard about the review complaining about the found family aspects and dutifully mocking them because found families are awesome, but even I didn't expect how hard and just plain well done they were. I wouldn't call it a masterclass in doing the trope well, but I would make it required viewing for said class. It was so well laired throughout this movie as a theme; from the final sin of Forge at the boat, to Doric's devotion to the Emerald Enclave, to Xenik's backstory that in turn makes Thay the antithesis and of course the conclusion-- found family is the thematic core of this movie and I love it for it.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have like the movie from the original trailer where the team knows the horn is going to summon the Beckoning Death and are doing the plot to redeem themselves for stealing it. I feel like a lot of changes were done along the way, mostly for the better. In this movie, they don't even know about any evil plots until they accidentally'd themselves into it.

For the future, I hope they do something about the designs for the Dragonborn, Tabaxi and Arrakokra. They looked fine for this movie and it's... 80's-ness, but eventually we'll want some of these guys in amore central role. Halflings a bit too, but LotR has shown us the way there.

Finally (for now) what was that randomizer device Simon was casting from? It looked freaking sweet, but I had no idea what its deal was. It wasn't a component pouch; it seemed to cause him to cast the wrong spell when casting. I wonder if he wasn't an artificer at some point in production.
