    Need help with insults!

My apologies for any offense at my insults, I'd never say sexist/racist (fantasy racism)/etc myself, but it's a frickin' EVIL imp To a dragonborn- "What's that smell? I thought your breathweapon was supposed to come out your mouth!" or... "Hey, look at that, that money I spent paying the...

    D&D miniatures arrived today!

For singles, it's hard to beat Auggie's Games, especially if you (like me) include the shipping and handling into the cost of the miniature. I still remember getting all excited when I found a site with awesome prices, only to discover the sneaky SOB was trying to slap a $2 PER FIG shipping charge.

That's it; I am done buying minis'!

I just checked Auggie's Games store, and they have 2 different kinds of D&D dragonborn, a "Defender" and a "Myrmidon," each of them for $4.99. His shipping charges are good, but it kind of depends on how much you buy. After spending a week or more researching web stores for singles, I've used...

    Dungeon Tiles - Photos

An alternative for sticking things down: Post-It Glue sticks. I do a lot of stuff with cardstock terrain (think really heavy paper folded to make 3D buildings, etc.). They've got little props, things like chairs, tables, bookshelves, etc. that are easily knocked aside when people are moving...

    Dungeon Tiles DT1

The DungeonLinx is very little work. The vast majority of it simply consists of printing the stuff out, then using a ruler and an x-acto knife or utility knife to cut it out. Last, you glue it down to some kind of backing (foamcore/matboard/etc.) and let it dry. You could do up a dungeon...

Can a once a month game work?

I'll chime in that I essentially do the once a month thing. We actually game (theoretically) every two weeks, but we alternate games. With real-life conflicts, we also have to skip many weeks. What everyone has said about recaps, taking notes, etc. is good advice. I don't know if it's been...

    Mats and mapping recommendations plz

I've used one of the Chessex battlemats, it works fine. If you want to have really awesome looking encounter mats, try perusing the Dundjinni forums. Dundjinni's a mapping program. I've not bought it (I'm cheap!), but there's a bunch of talented and prolific people over there who've made...

    Dungeon Tiles DT1

I started DM'ing the Red Hand of Doom after seeing some pics of other people's Stone Gorge Bridge models and got inspired to try going 3D instead of just using a battlemat. I had a few dungeon tiles (from the Basic Set) but thought they were kind of limited in flexibility. After some research...

    Fantasy City Street Battlemaps

another product I forgot to mention before the "GameMastery Flip-Mat" battlemats produced by Steel Sqwire. I've never used them, but I've read several threads where people praised them. One that would likely work well is: http://paizo.com/store/gameAids/gamingMats/steelSqwire/v5748btpy7qp0 A...

    Fantasy City Street Battlemaps

You could try trolling the dunjinni forums, (http://dundjinni.com/forums/) they have some really impressive maps up there, some of which might be right for what you want. If you're lucky, they've already broken the larger map into 1 page elements. I save those to my computer, open them up in...
