Barring any other DC raising goodies, the spell DC is 10+ spell level + Casting Stat Modifier (whatever that would be). A Wizard with 18 Int casting grease would be 10 + 1 + 4 for a total of DC 15.

I see it mentioned all over the place, usually when talking about multiclassing or gestalt, or to make another class just better somehow. But why? I don't have the book it's in, and I don't see people talking about why it's so great for a few level dip, or as a second half of a gestalt, or...
