The VOIDRUNNER'S CODEX is coming! Explore new worlds, fight oppressive empires, fend off fearsome aliens, and wield deadly psionics with this comprehensive boxed set expansion for 5E and A5E!
I look forward to reading it. You are one of my favorite posters here and find your stuff lucid and entertaining.
I'm considering wrapping these two notions together; I think Gertruda -- pulled to the Castle with its romantic, otherworldly presence -- becomes smitten with the Count. He...
RIGHT!
My question is what do we do with them? What most of the posters on the thread think is we could use them to seduce PCs... That's too overt, in fact I don't think they should be sexualized to the PCs at all. Perhaps they should attempt to seduce townsfolk, an NPC close to the characters...
...the thing all good Gothic Horror films and novels are chock full of: SEX!
Well sensuality, mostly. I find it kind of a 'softball' move to go to the 'child ghost' and 'child sacrifice' shtick to create peril and mood but - as far as my reading indicates - completely gloss over the inherent...
I went with the 'if its really cheap' option. Even at $24 I'm still feeling a little sticker shock. Honestly, fluff wise I feel like I've read 75% of it already and crunch wise the options all seem kinda lack luster.
This is what I'd want, also new crunch, in depth info on adapting existing crunch into your homebrew, and a quantified method to create new races and sub classes of your own. Probably sell as DMG2, but whatevs.
True, my meaning is that the Invocations are thematically tied to either Infernal, Fey or Far Realm types, none of the current ones really fit with the Positive Energy Plane theme, whether they are require for a specific Pact or not. Its disconcerting, as the idea has merit but the chassis of...
Okay, after thinking about it some more I'm a little miffed. Where are the additional Warlock Invocations specific to the Undying Light archetype? Just perusing the choices you get, few fit the thematic changes that the new archetype creates. Kinda dropped the ball on that Mearls and Co.... Also...
Some I'd like to point out from others:
Ambercrombie's First Law. AWESOME and funny.
Egil and Nix. Just south of true D&D, no surprise considering the author.
Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser. A must read.
Elric of Melnibone. This is the best of the best of Sword and Sorcery, hands down.
Some...
Sorry, this issue is a non starter for me. EVERY game I've played to the high levels has had some balancing problems. Its our job as GMs to mitigate these problems as best we can. Your comparison to WoW doesn't stand as my raid leader doesn't have the ability to create and adjust on the fly end...
That's not fair. Its not WotCs job to hold all of our hands past their adventure paths... unless I'm missing any additional points beyond 'all published adventures end at lvl 17.'
