    Help reading Fearless Rescue power

I believe it does. That is what the line Target: The triggering enemy is for. They were the one that reduced your friend to 0 HP, so they become the target of your attack.

Resolving Two Triggers at the Same Time

Normally yes, but Bladesingers have something called Guarded Flourish, which ingores OA from ranged and area attacks if they are wielding a weapon and nothing in their off-hand (which they pretty much always are)

Resolving Two Triggers at the Same Time

Yup, that's the correct power. In this case, the "one creature" was the same one hit by the MBA.

Resolving Two Triggers at the Same Time

That was my initial thought, but if Unseen Hand triggers between the hit and the damage, and the whole point of Unseen Hand is to push the enemy away, does that mean that the damage portion of the melee basic attack doesn't connect?

    Free action item draw/stow: overpowered?

Not quite, it's still a standard action to equip a shield

Resolving Two Triggers at the Same Time

Is there any rule or explanation on the order in which triggered actions are resolved if they have the same trigger? This came up in our game last week, and we just flipped a coin to determine the correct order, but I'm wondering if we did it correctly. The Situation: 1) A Bladesinger hits a...

    Free action item draw/stow: overpowered?

I don't see a way in which drawing/stowing 50 items during a turn would really give you a material advantage, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I suppose you could have something like a defensive weapon you pull out at the end of every turn, and an offensive weapon you pull out at the...

    Forward Observer and dim light

This is exactly what that utility power is for, let them use it. RAW I have no problem with it. Whether it "makes sense" just comes down to the ability to creatively explain the situation as a DM (or player). In my mind, it goes something like this: The rogue trains his crossbow across the...

    Help me utilise Dominated

That's fine, until your players get a little higher level and gain the power for themselves. At that point, he'll be more likely to listen to reason.

    Cleric help...

Relax. The game just started. You seem to be worrying about your character 5 levels from now. For all you know, he could be dead in a ditch by then. Just enjoy the game, and have fun.

    Help me utilise Dominated

Yup, asking them to jump off of a cliff will provoke a saving throw. But that is so boring. I really like using dominate in a memorable way. No one remembers getting hit a bunch by enemies and dropping, but they will remember things like: 1) Go stand on the trap door (which the enemy will...

    Help me utilise Dominated

Personally, I like to use terrain effects with dominate. Its often times worth using a move action instead of an attack if you can separate the party and set up powerful combos. For example, see if you can get a dominated player to jump off a ledge, or climb down into a pit (which happens to...

    D&D 4E Help, I’m a Terrible (4E) DM

See above, Skull's Demise is powerful, but its not really game breaking (any more than the sleep spell is) You've got a 1/n chance of drawing the card, where the n is the number of cards you possess. (assume at least 4, so a 25% chance) Then, they had roughly a 50% chance of hitting the enemy...

    D&D 4E Help, I’m a Terrible (4E) DM

This is really surprising to me. I'm running Gardmore Abbey right now, and I am finding the monsters and encounters to be extremely well-balanced for a party of five. I've already had 1 PC death, and several near misses. The beholder fight was pretty bad for them (see my earlier post) That...

Gardmore Abbey Sidetrek Help Needed- (Possible Spoilers)

Thanks for all the advice. I ran the fight last night and it was very successful. I had the beholder head off towards some local ravines and inhabit a cave complex there. The players hired a local hunter (affectionately named Bubba) to help them track the beholder. On the way, the came...
