my 2 bits another comment on this. a pact dagger would count as a dagger for the rogue using his "weapon" based powers, and rogue training +1 atk melee. using his one warlock power, the pact dagger would function as an implement, and provide bonuses to atk/dam. BUT the rogue cannot use sneak...

how about just getting a pad of paper and writing "orc 1, orc 2, orc 3, etc" with his HP below, and just keeping the book open to the monsters page.

don't forget his -5 to check penalties for moving more than 2 (since it takes 3 to trigger his concealment). that's a big one most are overlooking when complaining about stealthing warlocks.

Kobold would bump into the hidden character, and could make a "wild as swing into it" (-5 vs AC seems appropriate here). If he was an invisible ninja, the attack would reveal him as well.

Without burning a feat, only rogues and rangers can train Perception. Wis is not a primary concern for either to get (ie, score = 10, maybe 12, depending on race.) if they're combat oriented (Str, Dex, Con/Cha is what i see in most ranger/rogue builds so far). so, stealth = +10, Perception = +6...

i just used the full level 8 brute against 4 level 2's (rogue, cleric, wizard, warlock) as a milestone after a shitload of minion zombies. Minions went down FAST but ate a few dailies, hulk was in a tower and didn't appear untill the PC's went inside. Hulk tore up the party, downing 2 of them...
