I'll probably play 4e because what I've seen about it so far makes it seem like a fun RPG to me. Ironically, a fun RPG to me is something that DnD has never been before.

Chalk me up as someone else who thinks Golden Compass did poorly mostly because it just wasn't that good.

It was enjoyable but the pacing was some of the worst I'd ever seen. The whole movie was just bang bang bang bang firing off scenes with no transitions or explanations. No one seemed to have any real motivation.

Ten to fifteen games is about as long as I want to play any particular campaign personally. So that sort of thigns works well for me.

Enchanted was actually a really fun movie.

I think he meant it went more rounds so more attacks, but with the streamlined rules played in either the same amount of real time or quicker.

As someone else has already said, you didn't ask me this, but I'm going to answer anyway. At my table, no way. Usually if I'm running a fantasy game, humans are the only sentient race. Or at least the only one open to players.

Is he? He functions better socially than a lot of people I see the FLGS.

Yay, something we can all agree on. As long as they aren't poke-mounts that is.

::shrug:: If you say so. Personally I hate that DnD forces you to have multiple sentient races in your setting. The generic baseline should be human only.
