Is the Mass Combat PDF free? Where can I download it? Couldn't find it yet. Or is it included in Grim Tales?

    How to Explain Evasion?

If you watched the movie "Hero" then remember the scene where the nameless hero stands on the roof dodging and parrying a complete hail of arrows. If the character standing amidst a fireball evades, just imagine him turning around quickly and pushing the flames aside with his cloak for example.

I wish I had purchased the original Hellgate Keep adventure :(

I'm just starting this adventure... Has anyone converted the BBEGs in there? I'm also planning to add a little spice to the dungeon as it's pretty empty.

    Fields of Blood Question

Hi, I recently bought FOB and have a few questions which came up recently. 1. Population Centers I assume the population center sizes correspond to the DMG population centers. But how many inhabitants/members do small/medium/large camps have? 2. Units < 100 members How do I handle smaller...

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

I added Ritual Enemy and The Hunt to the class. Changing the Ritual Enemy is now a 5th level, calling out for a Hunt 1st. As Ritual Enemy and The Hunt are probably used only once during a whole campaign they are not overly powerful.

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

I agree, Cleave is probably a bit unnecessary. I'll remove it. Well, I really meant once, as in once in a lifetime. The Ritual enemy of a tribe has a strong tradition, and can't be changed often, perhaps only once in a generation. Thats why I thought a chieftain may change it once during his...

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

Ok, I changed it to Cleric BAB and saves. This also serves to remove a big barbarian weakness (WILL save) a bit. +4 WILL in exchange to -2 BAB is probably ok. I also upgraded the Pegasus cohort a bit. This is useful only in aerial battles, so i don't think it's overpowered. I still have some...

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

Thanks for your comment! It's actually my first prestige class, thats why I am a bit unsure about it. Power Attack and Cleave were just added for flavor. As practically every barbarian has them they are not meant as steep requirements. As one of the reasons to design this prestige class is...

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

Opinons anybody Ok, a few comments would be very helpful. It's not that I'm asking yet another AoO question.

    Barbarian Chieftain Prestige Class (3.0)

Hi all, I am just working on a prestige class for one of my players, an Uthgardt barbarian (Forgotten Realms). The Uthgardt barbarians are divided into distinct clans, each revering a totem animal, such as Red Tiger, Sky Pony (Pegasus), Black Raven and so on. The players character is a Sky...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Greater Wounding 3.5

Great change! The 3.0 wounding ability was kind of weak.

    Monster Towns?

No, no... Ogres don't farm. They herd and breed livestock, which could be nearly anything living for an ogre (goblins, humans, elves, dwarves...). Obviously due to their long reproduction cycles dwarfes and elves are poor choices. Goblins are probably the "bread and butter" for an ogre city:-)

    Monster Towns?

    - Add a modifier to highest class level for a race's favored class (+2) - For this purpose treat the races as different populations in the town/city and calculate their class levels accordingly - Add a modifier to the regions favored classes (+1) - Multiclassing should not exceed the highest...

    Monster Towns?

There are no rules except the "organisation" entries in the monster manual. WOTC did use the normal town generation rules for monster towns (in the Forgotten Realms Silver Marches Supplement), which I didn't like at all. Hobgoblin town with monks? I don't think so, especially not in a northern...
