It's pretty common, but less likely than with previous image generators I've used. I just pull the slot machine until it's good or at a low enough level to be acceptable, then discard the failures. The more complex characters you have on the scene, the more likely it'll go wrong, so the fewer characters the better. You'll just have to accept flaws if there are lots of characters present.

A funny thing happened in today's session:



It was surprisingly difficult to get the AI to create an ankylosaurus rather than a raptor of some kind. The party druid shape changed while falling into a flooded temple to cannonball a pair of were-tigers. This captures the scene rather well.
