    Spoilers Angel 03/04

Well, I saw the first Faith episode of Angel last night and had a couple of thoughts. Spoiler Warning! 1) Cordy is pregnant with Conner's baby (I think we all saw that one) and it is much further along than it should be (ie, there is something supernatural about it). So, is Cordy evil or is...

    Revised DR

Hmmmm - just read the front page. More info on the changes there. Dunno if I like the proposed materials changes to DR, but it looks like Harm and Haste are definitely getting "fixed" IceBear

    Point Buy Rules

Ok, I don't have my DMG handy and I need to send someone an email with how a 28-point buy works (I have normally had everyone roll their stats before) and I'm unsure how it works. Could someone post a synopsis of the rules? IceBear

    Polymorph and Natural Abilities

Ok, I was just looking through the PHB errata and saw this: Now I know that Polymorph Self has been errataed several times, but I know that there have been two camps on whether or not someone would be able to constrict when Polymorphed into a snake (right Hong? :D) and it appears that in this...

Toronto: Looking to join a campaign after the holidays

As the title says, I'm in Toronto and I am looking to join a campaign after all the holidays are over. I'd prefer to join a new campaign, but I'll take what I can get :) IceBear

House rule to Replace the flat DC15 for massive damage

I don't like the fact that the Fort save for massive damage is a flat DC15. What are some house rules that people use for this? I'm thinking something like DC=15 (base)+1/10 points of damage above base. A medium creature hit for 72 points of damage would have to make a DC=17 save. IceBear

Toronto Gamers! (Or Ontario Gamers) Introduce Yourself

Well, seeing how many responses the Calgary thread got, and I'm looking for fellow gamers in Toronto (and got no response in the Gamers looking for Gamers forum) I'd figure I'd try this :) I'm currently living in Pickering, but from Newfoundland originally and have been playing/DMing since 1982...

Hi all, I'm an experienced DM (been playing - mostly DMing D&D since 1982), but I currently find myself too busy to DM. Thus, I'm looking to join a group in Toronto (perferably on the east side as I live in Pickering). IceBear

    Monks and Shields

Sorry to open up this can of worms again, but I can't find anywhere in the latest FAQ where it states that a monk cannot use a shield. I believe that it used to be in the FAQ, but now it's gone (or at least I can't find it) so I guess that means they've changed their minds? IceBear

Opposed Strength checks - Disarm, Grappling, etc

Situation: My 5th level fighter with 18 strength tried unsuccessfully for two round to disarm a commoner with 8 strength last night. That seemed wrong to me - what I thought should have been a simple maneuver started to get ugly. Question: What are some common house rules for situations...

Question on scribing scrolls and brew potions

Ok, last night during our session the sorcerer and I wanted to craft some scrolls and potions for our upcoming battle with a dragon. I was planning on creating two scrolls each of Protection from Elements, but my DM ruled that I had to declare the element being protected against by the scrolls...
