Shows that I go back and rewatch, shows that I should

I have to add Stranger Things to my list. I have rewatched that one. I haven't thought about Rat Patrol in forever. That was an awesome intro. Buffy needs to be on my list. Sopranos is something that I see in youtube clips rather than a complete rewatching. If Deadwood had one more season...

Taxi was very good. Barney Miller was really too

Shows that I go back and rewatch, shows that I should

The only Buffy that I watched was the musical episode, which was great. I missed that series due to life circumstance. I should look at it.

What music, if any, do you listen to when reading?

Schubert symphony No. 8, unfinished. Then Mozart or Beethoven.

Shows that I go back and rewatch, shows that I should

Star Trek TNG Shows that I should go back and watch but haven't yet 1. The Xfiles 2. Justice League animated series 3. Combat...

    Armor as Damage Reduction

Increasing hitpoints by armor just makes combat take longer and combat tends to eat up time anyway. It also increases math exercises, and that slows turns when you have multiple attacks hitting armored characters. My preference is for simple roll to hit, roll some damage and get 'er done.

D&D 5E Low Level Wizards Really Do Suck in 5E

I could see legendary resistance kicking in once the monster is at deaths door. But only as a monster' last defense. Generalized spell resistance is not sexy monster design. I like strengths and weaknesses built in (at least not strengths across the board). Breaking the wizard into...

D&D 5E Low Level Wizards Really Do Suck in 5E

I think the problem sits more on monster design rather than PC build. Magic resistance is too generic/generalized and too common. Legendary Resistance is a very potent ability, undervalued in design and broadly applied. It would be better to make monsters resistant on certain saving throws...

I want balanced and upgradable powers

This is similar to 3rd edition metamagic feats that allowed a higher level spell slot to be sacrificed to add effect to a lower level spell. I like the idea of a a mage being focussed on a certain type of spell type/ flavor rather than having a group of unrelated spells. Fire, cold, force...

    Bullrush

Anyone else notice that the size limitation for Bullrush has been removed? Originally, the PHB limited Bullrush to enemies within one size category of you. Now you can move the mountain, so to speak. If you can't carry that heavy treasure pile, just roll versus its Fortitude to move it five...

Herores of the Fallen Lands - Are Slayers underpowered?

Slayer gains Dex mod to damage and it increases +2 every few levels to a max of +8 at epic levels. Slayer is subpar if...... 1) Monsters never generate Opportunity attacks. 2) You only have one or two encounters in a session. 3) You fight a solo and the Slayer does not have the special...

    Deluxe DM Screen

Dm screen is just a good product to release every few years. It is nice artwork and I can use it for other games also. Ten bucks is a price point that doesn't bother me. Thumbs up.

    Essentials feat too powerful???

I like feats that make meaningful impacts on gameplay. I like feats that are simple to implement. I like feats that have limited or no prerequisites. It is true that the Expertise feats are a "feat tax" because everyone should take at least one of them. I prefer that everyone receive a free...

D&D 4E What should the next new official campaign setting for 4e be like?

Oriental Adventures Spelljammer I would almost say "Planescape", but that seems to be the default background for the monster manuals.

    HP Tokens

We use poker chips. Blue is for the first half of your HP. Red is for the second half of your HP (bloodied). If you go negative, you just pile your blue chips into a pile and when you use them you have died from HP loss (as per rules). Orange is for temporary HP. Green is for healing surges...

D&D Minis... Who is bumbed about the end of production?

I wish that they would just release the unpainted minis in packs. They could easily release a "Bag o' Orcs" that had a wide variety of sculpts that already exist and could just be pumped out.

What kind of print products would want WotC to produce?

    1) My favorite 2e setting was Planescape. Now I do not want a repackaging of that setting, I just want another interesting setting that receives a thorough treatment. My suggestion would be putting out the d20 version of "Firestorm Armada" and incorporate it into a Spelljammer type setting...

    Stats Below 8

Low stats can be fun, but typically players become dissatisfied with playing a character with such a handicap. Too dumb to perform addition? Too dumb to contribute to solving a problem? Too dumb to avoid walking into obvious traps? Too dumb to avoid being easily duped out of your money? So dumb...
