    New Class and Race?

Anything new for the seeker? I tried to make one for the game we are just starting but there wasn't enough crunch to justify one. I went druid instead, but still hope to swap out before I am too high a level.

    Druid: Staff or Totem

    Thanks.

    Druid: Staff or Totem

This has probably been discussed a million times, but do we know for a fact (i.e., official ruling somewhere) that Weapon Focus works on an implement that is also a weapon when it is being used as an implement and NOT a weapon?

    Druid: Staff or Totem

[sigh] Yeah, you're right. I loved the idea of my Wind Prison doing d6 damage to a lot of stuff with no attack roll, but by the time I am 7th level my enemies will sneer at at a d6 damage. Meanwhile I would have lost "x" opportunities to do +1 and eventually +2 with all attacks. Sometimes...

    Druid: Staff or Totem

Thanks for all the advice gang. Earthfall totem is obviously the way to go given my build; now I just have to be patient until 7th level.

    Druid: Staff or Totem

Well, I think "implement expertise" is pretty much a must-have feat, so I need to pick one asap.

    Druid: Staff or Totem

ps: I am going to focus on control powers over beast and summonings. Of course, I will have some of all, but I am not looking for to build a charging/clawing/maximum melee damage kind of druid. I am an elf going predator druid.

    Druid: Staff or Totem

I am making my first druid (in any edition) and can't figure out whether a staff or totem is the best way to go for an implement. I can probably figure it out after spending a while with the books/compendium, but I figure some more knowledgeable people than myself have already considered all...

Anything in Arcane Power for Fey Warlocks?

I guess if you playtested it in a party with a bard it looked awesome since the penalty to saves is against all charms and not just the 'locks. Still, the leader is supposed to make the striker more effective, not the other way around!

Anything in Arcane Power for Fey Warlocks?

Not enough to matter. A paragon path that makes it harder for the enemy to save vs. charm effects, except that there is only one "charm, save ends" warlock power in the whole game. And a paragon path based solely on lightning that is so weak compared to the "lightning sorcerer" paragon path...

Further observations on how screwed the feylock is... There is no new usable paragon path. I mean, seriously, do these guys even read what is out there when they design a paragon path? The one that should be cool for the feylock, the Entrancing Mystic, is ridiculous. It's coolest power is a...

    It's official...

No, I don't honestly think WotC "hates" a class. I was using a metaphorical device generally accepted to mean "it has become clear given WotC's latest sourcebook that the capabilities of the warlock are in no way going to be expanded to match that of the other classes, and that further the...

    It's official...

That would be a great theory if the rogue and ranger didn't also have rider effects for nearly every power in addition to their better attack bonuses and better damage. Take a look at the first few levels of rogue: slide target, daze, blind, knock prone. Exactly where is the advantage the...

    It's official...

Yeah, sorry it took a couple of posts. I was reading AP surreptitiously at work and fired off a "first impressions" post.

    It's official...

And yes, the above only examines Arcane Power. That is because the feylock was so clearly the weakest PHB striker that I thought it might get some love in AP to make it playable. Instead, it is clearly supposed to die a slow and unmourned death.

    It's official...

Actually, WotC clearly hates warlocks, but it hates the feylock even more than the other warlocks. How come the rogue gets a paragon path that increases the crit range of all its powers and the warlocks paragon paths increase it on powers with rare keywords? How come the rogue and ranger get...

...WotC hates the Feylock. Hates it.

    Gaping "Ready Action" hole

Nope. 4 acted when his ready went off, making that his "next turn". E is no longer stunned.

    New stealth stuff from WotC

I guess I just don't see the problem with the guy who creates magical cocealment every time he moves AND doesn't get sneak attack being stealthy. Cheese would be if the guy who gets multiple SA dice every time he is stealthy were to have a supernatural concealment cloaking him at all times.
