Mongoose 3.0/3.5 Grand Archive - Any Interest?

Just for reference, I thought I'd post to a couple of our larger wikis so you can see what can be done. http://www.kerrydalestreet.com/ This is a site for the Celtic FC, devoted to lovingly documenting the entire history of the Celtic FC and everything tied to it. It is a large, extensive site...

Mongoose 3.0/3.5 Grand Archive - Any Interest?

What gets attention (and thus traffic) is SEO, organization, and activity. It's true that some wiki hosts get more than others due to the type of content they feature. It's also true that part of my job at Wetpaint is to handle which sites we feature and promote, adding to SEO. If you guys...

Hmm. I must give this thought. I shall indeed contact you.

Mongoose 3.0/3.5 Grand Archive - Any Interest?

EasyEdit is the only way to edit pages. It's a pretty robust WSYIWYG editor and can do a lot, and is friendly to contributors who aren't up to speed on wiki markup. Wetpaint sites export current versions of the pages as HTML to a ZIP file.

Mongoose 3.0/3.5 Grand Archive - Any Interest?

Yeah, it really is a small world. :) Well, one of the things that might help is that we could boil down some custom templates for the pages, in additional to some special skins for the site as a whole. In particular, I'm in charge of home page and category page content too, and we'd be happy...

Mongoose 3.0/3.5 Grand Archive - Any Interest?

Can you be more specific about the limitations? I'm working for Wetpaint these days, actually, and this is a project we'd be really happy to get behind. We also have some changes that will be going live soon that might address some of your concerns. You can contact me at michelle@wetpaint.com...

GenCon Indy 2007, let's shake the male/female ratios--or not, they seem fine here ;)

If I'm able to attend GenCon on a year where such a thing occurs, I'd be happy to take part in it. While there are obviously a number of female gamers in this thread who don't feel their gender figures into that whole equation, there are doubtless others who take a different approach, such as...

    ENnies winners?

My take on it (and yes, I'm biased) is that many of the reviews were written by loyal devoted Shadowrun fans who loved third edition. There's a LOT of change between third and fourth, and if you like third edition rules and are proficient with them, the reaction to 4th edition seems to largely...

    ENnies winners?

M&M 2nd is gorgeous and overall just an amazing product. It deserved its awards. I'm just amazed, as I had the privilege to either write or edit for both Shadowrun, 4th Edition and A Game of Thrones RPG. It goes to figure that the one year I don't go to GenCon is when something really cool...

50 dollars ear marked for PDFs. What to buy?

I know of Iron Heroes, but I haven't had the chance yet to peruse it in any detail. I do know that we give suggestions in Advanced Magic how to scale back the system for a low-magic setting, which I believe is appropriate for Iron Heroes, but more than that I really couldn't say with any accuracy.

50 dollars ear marked for PDFs. What to buy?

Please do get Advanced d20 Magic. I think you'd enjoy it, based on your reaction to Slayers.

    Attention Gamer Girls!

Well, that's nice, but it's still enough to keep me from buying it. Sorry.

    Editing Whine

To be frank, while offers of free proofreading for free product sound good in theory, the result is typically that you get what you pay for. There are rare occasions where this is not true, but they are, as stated, rare and typically not worth getting burned by everyone else who made the offer.

Do you find the IK hard to write adventures for?

I disagree as well. My game is set in northern Cygnar/Ord. Most of the fighting is elsewhere. Battlefields are commonly found, as are ruined bits, but going through the countryside is just going through the countryside -- admittedly, a scary, spooky, full of icky things countryside, but that's...

Do you find the IK hard to write adventures for?

I haven't had any problems. I picked a geographical area, read up about it, looked at the local ruins and whatnot, and have assigned creatures and made lists of possibles accordingly. I've developed a couple of adventure seeds based on suggestions in the books, and I'm working on fleshing them...

Who would you pick to design Fourth Edition?

Guess I spoke too soon. Um, wanna soda? :D *hug*

Who would you pick to design Fourth Edition?

*sniffle* I am unloved and unknown. I must go and drown my sorrows in a can of soda. Carry on, friends, carry on. *grin*

For the record, Kolja is male. Ms. Kestrel and Ms. Clarke-Wilkes are obviously not.
