    Most Awesome Leader? (Warlord!)

Was just looking over Artificer. The level 16 Utility, Good Luck Charm, doesn't seem to have a number or time limit on it, so why wouldn't an Artificer build a huge stockpile of the things? The effect itself only lasts until the next extended rest, but there is no time limit to the artifice...

    Quick Action Point Question

When you spend an Action Point to gain an extra action, do you just get another Standard Action, or do you get the full complement of Standard+Move+Minor or other combinations thereof?

    Teleporting in the Feywild

Note that a lot of lore surrounding the Fae associate them with states of "in-betweenness" like the place where field meets forest, where ocean meets sand, the time when day meets night, etc. So I don't think it's too much of a stretch to imagine that those teleport powers work using a partial...

    Stealth in Combat

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that the second statement was in regards to warlocks who, as a class feature, gain Concealment when they move more than 3 squares, which lasts until the end of their next turn. what I was proposing was that the warlock can move 6 squares gaining concealment from...

    Stealth in Combat

Hmm . . then with a warlock and Shadow Walk you could stealth anywhere with no penalty as long as you let yourself be seen during your move action?

    Stealth in Combat

Then my question would be whether or not you'd penalize that Stealth check for movement or not. I mean, you didn't move as part of your Stealth check, right?

    Warlock At-Wills, How Many?!

    It's the former.

    Combat Advantage

Fey Step is a teleport and doesn't provoke an Opportunity Attack. Just teleporting behind someone doesn't give you Combat Advantage, though, since perception is considered to be 360° in combat. The only real use you'd get from this tactic is to flank an enemy.

    D&D 4E Designing 4e adventures for a single character?

Notice where an Intimidate check allows a character to "cow a target into taking some other action?" Let players be creative with that and Bluff or Diplomacy checks. I'd also allow the character to "defeat" enemies socially and still get experience. Maybe an Intimidate check to cow a bunch of...

    Stealth in Combat

This might be unnecessary thread necromancy if we're simply waiting for a verdict from on high, but: I'm going to contend the interpretation that one cannot avoid notice once one has been noticed. Semantically that's not the only way to interpret that. If you think about perception like the...

    Team Combat Skill Checks?

Some ideas occured to me and I wonder what you all think of them: Can I use an Intimidate check to grant Combat Advantage to my allies against my targets? (I'm thinking this is overpowered and maybe something the Bard class will do anyway) Can I use an Intimidate check to distract a target...

How to detain an Eladrin Rogue? ie, teleporting

You know, this thread has got me thinking about Eladrin specific constructs. Buildings with no stairs or other means to reach the second floor. Rooms with transparent walls and no entrances. Tiny corridors too small for the known humanoid races, but which allow line of sight.

    Stealth in Combat

Re-posting as per Xorn. Using Bluff in combat allows one to gain Combat Advantage. Think about that. That's the equivalent of, "Look over there!" *STAB* To me that doesn't seem to imply that getting Combat Advantage is too hard. It only takes an instant of having your attention off the...

    Can you move->stealth->attack>

Using Bluff in combat allows one to gain Combat Advantage. Think about that. That's the equivalent of, "Look over there!" *STAB* To me that doesn't seem to imply that getting Combat Advantage is too hard. It only takes an instant of having your attention off the bluffer. If at any point...

How to detain an Eladrin Rogue? ie, teleporting

I think teleports allow you to escape from grapples and bindings.

    Stealth in Combat

Since warlocks deal with powers best left alone, I prefer describing Shadow Walk as the warlock fading away into the Feywild/Hell/The Outer Dark and that the influence seeping into the world through them makes it hard to look straight at them. "The fey sorceress glides across the battlefield in...
