this is a very good idea. i also think that this could easily facilitate the repurposing of all divine classes to worshipers of primordials. that would be fun to role play. i would like to explore the primordials more than has been done already.

it seem to me that causticsoul (and watersoul, for that matter) is missing, and should have, a swim speed to go with that "you can breathe underwater" ability. otherwise, making a swim check makes no sense. why would you? to keep from drowning? the ultimate risk of failing swim checks is...

1e - druid, then monk 2e - druid 3e - druid, then bard (fochlucan lyrist), then beguiler 4e - druid, however, there is so much to love in all of the 4e classes, imho.

yours is a much better and more realistic approach. i think, for the sake of covering all of its bases, wotc offers us the principal patron for each race, either because 4e still is young or because they do not want to slide down the slippery slope of fleshing out a full pantheon for each race...
