Whatever became of the wotc correspondent position?

it is your site. certainly, you will distribute its news as you choose. nevertheless, my private query reasonably implied that i did not discover the announcement, so a reply would have been nice. you replied, "rather than telling everyone individually . . . ." did you, in fact, receive so...

Whatever became of the wotc correspondent position?

ah, i see. i have been checking the thread titles daily for an announcement. there are a multitude of threads pertaining to d&d. i did not know that "What's Up With D&D? for Monday, 19 September, 2011" was serving as the announcement. i believe i also sent you a private message query, to...

    D&D 4E Baba Yaga's Dancing Hut 4E

thank you for the answer. i have often wondered about this very question with respect to updates of old adventures.

    Applicant List

Greetings, I am applying for the position of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) correspondent. Currently, I serve as a volunteer for WotC. I inherited AsmodeusLore's responsibilities as a Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) News Guide, reporting daily on D&D articles and related news, originating both from...

    D&D 4E Baba Yaga's Dancing Hut 4E

The WOTC sneak peak refers to the adventure as "a faithful 4th Edition Adaption." Given that the 4e versions of many monsters are not of identical power levels as the original monsters, how much adapting did you have to do?

the bold is why i think the easy fix is to say that all radiant damage instead is fire damage. now, parallelism would suggest that necrotic damage instead is cold damage, but this raises a few issues. necrotic energy is most closely associated with the shadowfell, the natural world's dimmer...

"Anthur [a goliath] never quite measured up to his hill giant brethren. He tried to hold his own, but barely managed. Unable to compete at rock throwing, wrestling, or the other sports bored hill giants engage in, Anthur often became the target of their insults … and their boulders. Instead...

this is a very good idea. i also think that this could easily facilitate the repurposing of all divine classes to worshipers of primordials. that would be fun to role play. i would like to explore the primordials more than has been done already.

    Abyssal Genasi

it seem to me that causticsoul (and watersoul, for that matter) is missing, and should have, a swim speed to go with that "you can breathe underwater" ability. otherwise, making a swim check makes no sense. why would you? to keep from drowning? the ultimate risk of failing swim checks is...

    Favourite Classes through the Ages

1e - druid, then monk 2e - druid 3e - druid, then bard (fochlucan lyrist), then beguiler 4e - druid, however, there is so much to love in all of the 4e classes, imho.

yours is a much better and more realistic approach. i think, for the sake of covering all of its bases, wotc offers us the principal patron for each race, either because 4e still is young or because they do not want to slide down the slippery slope of fleshing out a full pantheon for each race...

blipdoolpoolp, as well as dagon, evinces the far realm to me. i wonder if blip might get a 4e work-over as an aberration.

i forgot about those guys. thanks for the reminder. all too true. your argument is convincing. perhaps i am being to rigid. just to nitpick, although the core rules do not speak to the metaphysics involved in this way, there are a plethora of d&d products that do. i just am too lazy to...

perhaps so, but it just seems not to jive with the basic d&d notion that gods (and the like) derive much of their power from their influence on the planes (i.e., portfolios and worshipers). if you suggesting that he is the standout exception, then okay, i guess. i was just trying to make him...
