It is called Double Wand Wielder, Complete Arcane p. 77. But you activate them as a full round action. Other than this, I don't know anything similiar. Hope it helps.

Actually he will be playing in a homebrew campaign setting, where most of the 3.5 books are permitted, and the player asked specifically for DD. Until now he only played characters that were made for dealing damage. This time he wanted something more defensive. We didn't look for anyhting else...

Improved Initiative is by far the best choice. Yet Point Blank shot is also a must for a rogue.

Skip the rapier. Go with an Elven thinblade (1d8, 18-20/X2). A drow is considered an elf, so the weapon prof is racial. You will find it in Races of the Wild.

I used to play a drow monk. But mostly because I liked the style. I would suggest to multiclass as ninja. They are both Dex / Wis based and the ninja skill points are really usefull (especially if you take the 1st level as ninja). Plus you gain the use poison ability that you are so eager to get.

I would suggest a Healing Belt (MIC pg 110). for only 750 gp you get a life-saver. It may not improve your AC but it can save your life.

My favorite character was a dark elf monk/ninja/assassin. My stats were really good and he was quite fearsome. With a good feat selection he could fight almost anything (although my d20 hates me) I also like rogue/fighter. Either focused on ranged combat, or the classic two weapon fighting...

My guess is that your brother will betray you. It is in the nature of the drow, to stab its others backs. And I doudt that a male would just help a female. But hey, that is just me.

Yesterday I had an interesting question from one of my players. It is about the Ranged weapon Mastery feat (PHB II pg 82). He has chosen to take the feat for piercing. (he is a fighter using a bow) he has already taken weapon focus, weapon specialization and greater weapon focus for Longbow and...

I guess you are right, though I know a few people with more than one monk level. But what the point of being an NPC? Aren't we the heroes of our own lives? What's the point if you can't imagine the possibilities of yourself? Isn't it the same in DnD? You start as 1st level and imagine yourself...

You should substitute the Greatsword with the Mercurial Greatsword (2d8 dmg, crit X4). You will find it in the "Sword and Fist" book of 3.0 Edition.
