hmm.. I'm somewhat looking forward to this one, at least I like the title :D speculations about its contents?

Ancient Empires will cover Mulhorand, Unther and Chessenta. As such, it will be an update the 1E product, Old Empires (the product that introduced me to FR).

(snip) Plus, note the similarity between E-berr-on and A-berr-ati-on. Coincidence? :uhoh:

Yes, and the primary similarity between the two is that too many people spell them with two Bs and one Rs. ;)

I reckon this will be a book of fiends.

I certianly think a book of fiends is more likely than a book of aberrations. Fiends (demons, devils, slaadi, etc.) are a pretty established staple of D&D campaings from the early days.

1) The Miniatures Expansion has been renamed to Deathknell...

Actually, Set 5 (Aberrations) was renamed from Fell Menace.

However, I've been typing "Fell Menace" by mistake for "Death Knell" all of today. I've no idea why. (Actually, I do - I rather like the sound of "Fell Menace" and I really hope they use it for a set in the future! ;))

Cheers!

I agree. Indeed, I more than agree: I concur. :D

Cheers!

Actually, I'll switch my vote to the aberrations camp.

After all, aren't all the IP creatures that have been excluded from the SRD aberrations?

Hmmm, perhaps WotC had a cunning plan all along...? ;)

2) d20 Modern Release is 2005:
d20 Past (James Wyatt) 3/2005

3) Star Wars Release 2005:
Ultimate Missions: Clone Strike (JD Wiker) 2/2005

D20 Past? A victorian/old west book? ala boot hill and Masque of the Red death?

I was hoping the next d20 Modern setting was for the Psionics setting.
