Who says one can't have two druids in a campaign? ;)

Well, two druids of different general types I could see - but two shifter druids? Not so much. No worries, I'll get him into a campaign eventually!

I'd be interested in getting in on this as well- I love the Eberron setting, and I haven't gotten over to Xen'drik often. I do have the very vaguest memories of playing at least some of this series back near the start of my gaming days- mostly I remember lots of different giants and pre-generated PCs with ludicrous names (this would be more than 25 years back, when the modules were sold individually, and I my RP/gaming skills had not evolved beyond a very basic level). If that is still too much knowledge, let me know- but I don't think it will make too much difference, especially with a change of setting/backstory.

Concept-wise, I'll wait until I see what sources might be allowed- I have a lot of potential character ideas floating around.

My concept so far is an artificer...perhaps with the Effigy Master PrC from Complete Arcane, if you will houserule the prereqs so artificers can qualify. The only HR needed is the removal of the Simulacrum spell on the class spell list.

That or I could go wizard/effigy master. Or wizard/artificer/effigy master.

A crackpot inventorly sort, who's science is both weird AND mad, and is in Xendrick to test his machines against the mighty! ...and find out secret lore (perhaps even regarding Creation Forges? GLEE) from the ancient ruins.

My concept, since people seem to be throwing those out now is a warforged wizard. He is tired of outright discrimination that his race is subject to during the Last War. He is bitter against his body, and wishes he was never born, thus he takes upon the form of other creatures. He'd take the master transmorgifist PrC. He goes to Xen'drik to escape it all, perhaps searching for ancient giant magic.

I'd say it all depends on how they're built. Druids can end up anywhere from summoner to primary healer to giant melee machine.

Hasn't Against The Giants already been updated for 3.5? I know that there are copies of some of the maps on the Wizards site in their Map-A-Week archive.

Thanks for the tip, I had forgotten that they had re-did the maps for the giants series. Luckily, they did the 2 of the 3 fortresses, so at least, I can't complain that people are crazy cheating ALL the time.

Plus, it saves me the trouble of scanning in 2/3 of the maps (plus, theirs are more detailed, although they kept them 1 sq = 10'....)

Anywho, it looks like there is going to be enough interest to generate a lively game. I've just ordered the "Secrets of Xendrik" book, so once that arrives next week, I'll get moving on the overall story arc. But consider this now an open recruitment thread.

I'll update the first post to reflect such, but keep in mind that this adventure won't start for at least 2 weeks (that is when recruiting will finish), which will give me time to flesh out a story arc and determine how much Eberron goodness will make it into the final product.

I am thinking of making a Human Wizard (Conjurer)/Master Specialist. I proposed this idea in another thread before but I didn't get picked. So I will try again and revamp the background.
That being said would you allow the focused specialist alternate class feature from Complete Mage?

Here goes.
Randall Bluebrim
Human
Wiz (Conjurer) 3/Master Specialist 6

Randall received his education at Morgraive University. He has spent most of his career on the continent of Xen'drik studying relics related to the Dragon Prophecy. He is familiar with the Drow that inhabit much of the Giantish Ruins and loves his work. He has just recently accepted a job from Morgraive that focuses more onto the fall of the Giant society that so long ago ruled the continent.
