Round 25: Bones has -14 hp. Milly has 13 hp, bloodied & nauseated. DJ has 14 hp, bloodied & nauseated.

DJ does not recharge (4). He will bite Norman for 14, then use Prodigious Leap to jump back to 60N45E without triggering an OA.

Milly shifts to 65N50E and takes a second wind. He has 21 hp and is no longer bloodied.

Bones starts dying (8).

Surly the defiant rake appears at 25N90E, wielding a rapier in one hand and a hand crossbow in the other. He fires his crossbow at CA as a minor action, 4+11, misses. Then he charges to 25N80E and stabs CA with his rapier. 16+11+1, hit for 6 damage.

Surly will use Wicked Dodge against the first melee attack against him. His priority of targets is CA, Flart, DaClaw, auto miss. He has 45 hp.

OOC: The notes I have say that prodigious leap is a standard action, so DJ couldn't bite first. Ah, wait, I see the discrepancy. "monsters3.doc" says Move while the "Monsters and More (4th Edition).pdf" file says Standard.

Bad Guys:
Flart: 36hp, full
Daclaw (leader): 70hp, full
Captain: 10hp, bloodied
Norman (ex-leader): -20hp, dying
Ukemil: 51hp, full


Flart moves to into position at 20n85e, then stabs at Surly, missing (automatic if Surly Will check succeeds) or by roll (12+7+1). I'm not sure if Surly could gauge that he's about to be stomped on and could decide to postpone his defiance until the big boy charges.

Daclaw will charge to 30n75e and claw twice, 13+11+2+1 and 12+11+2+1, both hit for a total of 3+4+5 and 6+4+5=27 damage.

Captain Archer steps west to 25n70e, switches weapons, and fires an arrow at Surly, missing wildly (2+9).

Norman Osborn doesn't recharge (2). His condition doesn't worsen (12).

Ukemil steps to 65n55e and wallops Milly with his greatclub, 5+14 hits for 6+4 damage.

Surly makes Flart miss (12+9 vs. Will), so there! :p Milly's second wind resets this round.

Round 26: Bones has -14 hp. Milly has 11 hp, bloodied & nauseated. DJ has 14 hp, bloodied & nauseated. Surly has 18 hp, bloodied. Not looking good.

DJ does not recharge (4). He will bite Norman for 14, then loop to 60N55E.

Milly scuttles through DJ to 55N55E and takes a second wind. He has 19 hp and is no longer bloodied.

Bones stays the same (18).

Surly does not recharge (3). He takes a second wind to heal to 29 hp, no longer bloodied. Then he uses his AP to stab at Flart, 20+11, crit! for 13 damage.

Flart stabs Surly, 18+7+2 hits for 8 damage and Surly is marked. I don't know what that means, perhaps that any attack against someone else is at a penalty?

Daclaw waits for Captain Archer.

Captain Archer switches weapons and stabs Bones again, finishing him off for good (another 10 damage). He then steps east to 25n75e.

Daclaw attacks Surly, 4+11+2, misses! All that waiting for nothing.

Ukemil clobbers DJ, 11+14 hits for max (rolled), 8+4 damage.

OOC: Yes, that's what marked means. -2 penalty to hit.

Round 27: Milly has 19 hp, nauseated. DJ has 2 hp, bloodied & nauseated. Surly has 21 hp, bloodied & marked.

DJ does not recharge (1). He bites Ukemil, 16+11-2, hit for 12 damage. Then he shifts to 55N60E. Next round will be a second wind reset for DJ.

Milly shifts north to 60N55E and bites. 17+11-2, hit for 9 damage.

Surly recharges! (5). My first recharge! He attacks Flart with his rapier, 3+11, miss. He will use Wicked Dodge only if Declaw attacks, targeting Captain Archer, Flart, or auto miss in order of priority.

Captain Archer stabs Surly, 5+6 misses. He is curious when he gains another second wind. Round 29?

Daclaw attacks Surly, 6+11+2, misses again. However, a 6+11 would be enough to hit Archer if you can roll a +9-2 vs. Will 15. The damage would be 1+4 (ha, minimum), and I don't think Pack Attack applies. Regardless, Daclaw is not happy about it. The Captain isn't, either. Also, since it's a reactive power, maybe you know it doesn't hit you and therefore might decide not to use your power in case it might also not hit Archer (in addition to having to make the attack roll)? I'm open to whatever you think is best.

Flart takes a second wind (gaining +2 to defenses), gaining 9hp, up to 32.

Ukemil steps to 60n60e and clobbers DJ again, 5+14 hits for 4+4 damage. He then uses up an AP to take a second wind (gaining +2 to defenses) and gaining 12 hit points.

OOC: CA gets a second wind and an AP on round 30. Ukemil's second wind heals 12, not 21. He should have 42 hp. Surly has to react as soon as he is a target of a melee attack, so he is not reacting until after the attack is resolved. I guess they just as easily could have called it an interrupt.

Surly rolls a natural 20 vs. Daclaw, so CA has 5 hp left.

Round 28: Milly has 19 hp, nauseated. DJ has -6. Surly has 21 hp, bloodied.

Now DJ recharges (6)! He also starts to die (1).

Milly shifts to 65N60E and bites. 12+11-2, misses due to Ukemil's second wind.

Surly does not recharge. (1). He attacks CA with his rapier, 16+11, hit for 10 damage, dropping him.

Snoopy the dire wolf appears at 35N70E and bites Daclaw. 2+12+2, miss. Snoopy has 47 hp.

OOC: A Dire Wolf is "Large" but what does that mean in spacing? Is it the same as in 3.5?

Hunter the gnoll huntmaster shows up, positioned at 30n85e and swings his handaxe at Surly, 13+9 hits for 3+3+5 damage (Surly has 10hp).

Daclaw keeps up with attacking Surly, 17+11+2, hits for 6+4+5 (max!) damage. Surly is down at -5hp.

Flart stabs Surly for 9 damage, marking him, and putting him at -14hp.

Ukemil swings for the upper decks against Milly, and misses! 1+14 misses AC-2! Anything but a natural 1 hits . . . :mad:

Surly does not recharge, (3). But he stabilizes (20)! He already took his second wind, so it just means that he doesn't have to make dying saves until he is hit again.

Snoopy shifts to 30N65E and bites CA for 14, teleporting him out. Captain Archer had a nice run which will put him in the Hall of Fame.

Hunter moves to 35n100e, switches weapons, and fires a arrow into Snoopy, natural 20! Snoopy takes 14 damage.

Daclaw moves to 50n80e while clawing at Snoopy (and not provoking an OA). 11+11 hits for 3+4 damage.

Flart stabs at Surly one more time, sending him out of the arena, then moves to 25n60e.

Ukemil clobbers Milly 9+14, hits for max, 8+4 damage.
