Do you apply your untyped half-level bonus and your half-level ability modifier to your Defenses and attack rolls? Character builder has me a bit confused...

Technically you apply your (relevant) ability modifier and 1/2 your level to all attack rolls. And skill checks, etc., you don't apply it twice. The column on the left for ability mods (the 1/2 level column) is just doing some math for you in case you need to make a generic str/con/int/dex/wis/cha check (for me this has meant a a couple hundred str checks for breaking things, and one int check for doing paperwork, in 200+ levels of play.) That column really isn't needed imo.
