Lhavarr steps forward and cuts at the Once-Dog-Thing. It staggers, mind assaulted, but Lhavarr still feels the sting of one of its many mouths.
[Suggestion hits; dazed and under suggestion effect. Lhavarr takes 5 damage from ending turn in aura.]
Vimak calls forth a powerful rune that causes the beast to howl and cry out from its multiple orifices. Lhavarr and Johanna are strengthened. Johanna's primal might also bolsters those around her as she suffers from more of the beasts' grasping tendrils and claws.
[Vimak succeeds. Johanna bolsters and takes 5 damage from aura (3 after resist).]
Sapo and Torqua have little luck with their assaults. Sapo and Torqua expect their attacks to miss, but with Lhavarr's confusing attack, they both hit.

The piecemeal portion torn from the Once-Dog-Thing attempts to bite into Lhavarr, but its clumsy blow is easily dodged. The larger creature, dazed and confuses, gurgles and lashes out at all around it. It crushes Johanna hard, grabbing her, her counter attack parried easily. It then proceeds to grab Lhavarr hard with a flurry of appendages and slam the bullywug with what might have been a human arm once. With a surge of action, it attempts to pull Johanna and Lhavarr into its mass. The Northron woman struggles and manages to remain free, but Lhavarr screams as he is pulled into the Once-Dog-Thing with a slurp!
[Glob attacks Lhavarr; misses. ODT makes multi-attack as its action. Crits Johanna for 23 damage (21 after resist), grabbing her. Johana's MBA misses. It then Crits Lhavaar (Johanna's Warden's Furymisses hits because it was dazed), 23 damage (21 after resist) and grabbing him and hits Sapo for 20 (no resist, no grab). It spends an AP and attempts to absorb Lhavarr and Johanna. Misses Johanna, hits Lhavarr.
Lhavarr is absorbed. He has no LOE/LOS to anyone and no one has LOE/LOS to him. He takes 5 ongoing while w/in, and Bad ThingsTM happen if he drops to 0 while absorbed. He can only use at-wills vs the creature while absorbed. A DC 20 Athletics/Acrobatics will free him. In addition, dealing 16 hp of damage in a single attack by anyone will free him.
Finally, it saves vs both effects. It is granting CA UENT Johanna]

Johanna continued to stab at the creature with her spear, striking whenever an opening presented itself. Despite her howling chant, it was obvious that her strength was beginning to fail.

Vimak channels the rest of his might. Glowing runes appear all around him, as he closes some of Johanna's wounds, frees Lhavarr with his first swing and killing the dog thing with the second.

standard: Word of Diminishment. (1d20+9=21, 1d10+7=17) (destruction mode). Forgot the +2 bonus from Rune of mending, so 19 damage and
AP Word of Diminishment. (1d20+9=22, 1d10+7=15) (protection) forgot rune of mending again bonus again (and vulnerability). Hit for 19 damage killing the thing.

Seeing Lhavarr absorbed, Vimark roars and plunges his weapon into the twisting mass. There is a deep rumbling for a moment and then the shriek and yowl of a dozen orifices crying out in horrific unison. Then, with a sickly *THUUM*, the thing that was once the dog, the progenitor of this journey, explodes! Ichor and what once were limbs and organs spray out with staggering force, a mass crushing Johanna and the recently freed Lhavarr under their weight while Sapo hops aside, unscathed. The last remnant of the beast is not spared, the skull of what may once of been a bugbear cleaving it in twain.
[Death blow causes Death Burst (close burst 1): Hit Johanna, Lhavarr, and Glob for 13 damage, killing the glob and dropping the other two. Lhavarr and Johanna both must make 1 death save and other may use heal checks/healing powers to stabilize. Note, both have used their second wind. Repeat until at least they're stable or dead.]
