The skill checks this round have decreased Cur ExSixTen's defenses rating by 3 if you would like to narrate it. :)

Cur Exsixten rises again to its paws, twitching and thrashing as it does so. GM: Brenn is at the max map movement range (he is on rocks anyway so that is difficult terrain. ) :)

Also the squares that is less than 1/2 rocks are not difficult terrain (please let me know if there are still some confusing spots)

The conflicting feelings brought about by the party's pleas seems to be lowering the Wereforged's functions. He seems to be less aware of his surrounds now and his defenses seem to be wavering.

GM: Cur ExSixTen's defenses are now -3 thanks to the party's efforts!

Also please note that using the same skill 2 more rounds in a row brings about a cumulative -2 to the check.

[sblock=Skill Challenge, Bring back Sir ExSixTen!]
Sucesses so far: -3 to defenses.

Using the same skill 2 more rounds in a row brings about a cumulative -2 to the check.

Somewhere deep inside the Warforge's memory core is the real Sir ExSixTen. He may look like a murderous canine now, but the awesome fighter of destruction is somewhere inside.

Once per turn as a minor action you can make a skill check DC 23 (any skill you can justify), each success brings SirExSixTen's real self closer to the surface, bringing about various combat benefits.[/sblock]

ooc: Do Quagmire and Jax want a free 5 square shift, or are you guys fine where you are? The shift could happen after your turns if you want to get in, attack, and get out, provided you end your turn within 5 squares of me.

OOC: Probably best to save it for a time when we can't help starting our turn next to him. I've got that power too, so we can do it more than once if need be.

Also, this:

Who is right?

OOC: Is the shift guaranteed? Jax will go melee this turn if he can shift afterwards, but I wouldn't want there to be a chance for the shift to fail. I can chuck daggers otherwise.

OOC: If Jax is going melee, it would be nice if Quagmire could go with him. But I'm not sure Q can get in melee range and still do anything, especially if there's difficult terrain in play. I'm not as fast as Jax.

It's still the case that Cur Ex has to come to us, though. If he doesn't get close we can just fill him with arrows and spells at our leisure without danger. Boring and slow, but safe, especially if we can keep using skills to make his defenses slightly less insane.

Brenn fired another arrow at the wereforged- and again he missed, though this time the arrow skipped between the creature's paws, prompting a stumble...

[sblock= OOC]
>Standard: Disruptive shot at Cur Ex (2nd of 3 for the encounter); 1d20+16 vs. AC= 26 (miss, deals half damage- so 10 force, and Cur Ex is Slowed until end of Brenn's next turn. Rolls: Roll Lookup
