Before the party has time to act the two giant frogs leap across the swamp. Their mighty tongues lash out and they pull Kasha and Ingot towards them. Unknown to the party two more frogs appear, different from the rest. Both make great leaps. One leaps on Ingot, slamming against his head while Kasha manages to dodge the other. The two croc then run towards the party, trying to to defend their nest.

RAAAAAAAAAGH!!
______/

RAM TIGER is alarmed to see two enormous things suddenly bearing down on him. He takes a half-hearted swing with his claws at one, only to be rebuffed by its leathery hide. Instead the gnoll pounces on the beast before it can bite him in half, grasping it with his claws and jaws and dragging it towards the center of the battle so that the rest of the gnoll's "pack" may help with the kill. He then twists his body and slams the beast onto its back, its feet kicking in the air.

[sblock=Actions]
  • Standard: Grappling Strike vs. Giant Croc 2 (1d20+10=13) Miss.
  • Action Point: Seize and Stab vs. Giant Croc 2 (1d20+10=28) against Reflex, Hit. 2d6+5=10 damage and the target is marked, grabbed and may not attempt to escape the grab until the end of its next turn.
  • Move: Forceful Drag. RAM TIGER moves to D10, sliding Giant Croc 2 with him, the croc ends adjacent to RAM TIGER right between Dorn and Kasha. (The croc does not get an Opportunity Attack on RAM TIGER for this movement.) RAM TIGER then ends the grab and throws Giant Croc 2 to the ground, prone.

These beasts are too fast for us ! Dorn thinks, panicking just a bit. Immediately three icy javelins appear over his head, and with a flilck of his wrist, they fly off in three directions. One heads for a croc, while the other two head in the direction of frogs to the north and south. All three strike true.

Jax tries to back away from the huge crocodile, but the swampwater does not allow any sort of stable footing. The kobold stumbles before desperately turning his back and breaking free of the beast. He runs straight into the tail of the crocodile that RAM TIGER knocked prone and, seeing an opportunity to let loose his INNER-KOBOLD, stabs repeatedly at the croc's exposed undersection.

[sblock=Jax stat block/actions][sblock=actions]Move: walk to F8. This provokes an OA from giantcroc 1.

Minor: Low Slash vs giantcroc 2 hits Reflex 22 for 13 damage + 12 sneak attack. Jax chooses to slide the croc no squares, and it is slowed until the end of Jax's next turn.

Standard: Sly Lunge vs giantcroc2 hits AC 27 for 16 damage (not included: +2 damage if the croc is already bloodied by Low Slash). Giantcroc 2 grants Jax CA until the end of his next turn.[/sblock]PC:Jax (Dekana) - L4W Wiki- Male Kobold Rogue 4

RAM TIGER grabs the huge crocodile with his teeth and drags it over to the party. Spotting the opportunity, Jax sloshes over and deliver two expert blows, seriously wounding the creature. Meanwhile Dorn flings icicles at the other creatures trying to ward them away.

With the giant reptile having been hauled conveniently to her very feet, Kasha twirls her blade once and then stabs it downwards to skewer the croc and finish it off. In its frenzied thrashings, though, the beast squirms away from her attack, and Kasha hurriedly decides that she has better places to be than right next to the still-living predator. With a movement halfway between a graceful leap and a frantic scramble, she vaults backwards over the oversized amphibian behind her, lands with a great splash of water and then springs sideways to take up a position flanking the other amphibian with Ingot.

[sblock=OOC]Standard: Sly Flourish on giantcroc 2: 1d20+11=16 vs AC, miss.

Ingot rocks back under the amphibian assault, but stays on its feet. When RAM TIGER deposits the giant croc at its feet, and its other allies wound it gravely, the warforged raises its large blade and slams it down on the reptile's head. It thrashes out of the way but Ingot twirls its sword and hacks down again, laying open its throat, slaying it.

[sblock=oops]Ok... I misread the giant croc's AC as 18 (looking at the frog instead of the croc) so I thought the first attack hit. Then I used flame bracers and healing strike to hit a frog.

But oops, the first attack actually missed as I just noticed the correct AC. :( What I was planning do if this happened, was to attack it a second time with Righteous brand. So if it's ok, I'd like to just that second attack roll for another righteous brand vs. the croc (leaving flame bracers and healing strike unused). The attack modifiers and such would be exactly the same and the result is enough to hit and kill the croc.

I wrote the description above assuming this would be okay, but I left the rolls with their original descriptions pasted below. If I have to go with that original roll, then the croc would still be alive, but the frog would take 10 radiant and 5 flame damage, be marked by Ingot, and Ingot would spend a surge and regain 15 hp (to 46/47).[/sblock]
[sblock=Actions]Spend action point (gaining +1 attack and +1 to all defenses TENT, due to Veteran's Armor)
Standard: Righteous Brand (w/CA, Veteran's Armor) vs. Croc 2 (1d20+11+2+1=18) Whew, just hit, thanks Veteran's Armor! Forgot to roll damage but it doesn't matter, minimum damage is 6 so that's enough to kill it.
Minor: activate flame bracers
Standard (from action point): Healing Strike (w/CA, Veteran's Armor, Flame Bracers) vs. frog 1 (1d20+11+2+1=23, 2d12+5+1d6=15)

And oops, I just see I misread the croc's AC. *$%@!!! See above.[/sblock]

Changing your attacks to attack the croc twice is fine if that is what you want to do. Go ahead and keep your roll :)

I don't have time right now to do the monster's round, sorry. I will do it as soon as I can.

The frogs once again assult the party, one takes it's tongue and pulls RAM TIGER into it's reaches. It open's its wide jaws and swallows the Gnoll whole and RAM TIGER finally finds himself what it is like to be the prey. Another frog leaps at Jax, biting his ankle before leaping away again. Finally the last big croc, angered at her mate's death tries to bite Dorn, but the Sorcerer leaps aside just in time.
