Jax tumbles just out of reach of the rerisen ju-ju zombie as it grasps at him. As he stands to get his bearings, he yells at the party, "I'll see to the mage!" He then turns and runs straight at Marcel. Jax nearly slips on a puddle of rainwater by the stairs, but he arrives in front of the mage unmolested.

"You heard that, didn't you? You're mine now! Just watch this!" he boasts, thumping his chest lightly with his dagger's pommel. But without launching an attack, the kobold suddenly starts performing a series of leaps and half-spins in mid air. He taunts Marcel even while performing the crazy dance routine. "Scared, huh?! You'd better be!" Before Marcel can close his gaping jaw, Jax lashes out with his dagger and leaves a slash across the man's face. The wound may not be fatal, but oozing blood from it is enough to partially obscure Marcel's vision, leaving him open to further attacks.

Fool, you think your pathetic strike can harm me?! Marcle rasps. Seeing that his master is in danger, the Ju-ju zombie charges Jax, grabbing the Kobold by the neck and strangling him. Large dark and painful splotches appear on the Kobold's scaly neck. Laughing Marcel takes his fists and slams them against Jax's torso, knocking the wind out of him.

FYI: Jax does have a potion on him if anyone needs to revive him shortly. /wink

Jax manages to worm his way out of the zombie's powerful grip without too much trouble. He sags to the ground and gasps for breath, but he is back in fighting shape before long. While he's kneeling by the ground anyway, Jax goes for a surprise attack and stabs into Marcel's foot, hobbling the man and sending him stumbling toward the zombie. (Marcel is now at O35)

Jax tries to follow up by lunging into Marcel's chest with an uppercut-like slash, but his vision is still blurred thanks to the brief stranglehold from the zombie. His blade tears into the wall beside Marcel and shoots off a line of sparks into the air.

"Hang on little one! We're coming!" Andras shouts as he rushes forward to help Jax. Upon seeing the zombies he immediately stops and fires an arrow into one of them. The shot flies true, but the sudden shift in his momentum puts Andras off-balance.
